I am liking your design the Best so far! I like your PVC storage compartment for the poles and tarp. I will be doing your set up along with a few others! Thanks for the extra details to make my design!!!!
I have those tracks on my cargo trailer I’m converting to a camper and I’ve been wondering how to use them. Now I know: butt splices. Brilliant! I think you may have just saved me some $, dude!
It works great.. gravity holds it out but you could tie it down some.. we never have though.. we've also hung hummingbird feeders from it when it rains the water runs off the sides
Just curious why not and if others have just done a much larger tarp over camper I would think it would help alleviate rain and UV on roof. Not sure how to mount but I use over tent or tied off above ground tent. I would think someone could place a board and pole on roof to raise tarp above ac/heater that thing on top so air flow was still. Thing
This is probably 1.5 inch.. these are poles I found in the alley used to hold up a trampoline net.. i think if you used 3/4” that telescoped into some 1” it would be a very clean set up and take up less space in the storage tube
Yes they all fit except coarse the macaroni pieces.. a better way to do it would be to get some poles with 1/4” difference that telescope into each other and get some paddle pins from Amazon it’s much more manageable

We went several seasons putting the poles inside the camper.. the pvc storage has been a game changer good luck with your project. We love ours
Thats friggin awesome. Great idea and thought process. I'm going to look into it on mine

It’s worked great for us for years we love it.. we hang humming bird feeders from it. I appreciate you checking it out
Best design I’ve seen yet! Thanks for sharing

Beautifully simple and obviously works great
I feel an awning is a must have, it changes the atmosphere of the entire campsite, thanks for checking it out
Excellent!
Not bad, those awnings are not cheap to replace. I mended and cleaned mine up after seeing a cost for a new one.
Fantastical….👍👍👍

I think I’ve seen it done like that.. staked to the ground and tied with ropes.. it would work, I wanted mine to be part of the camper
Ingenious!
Wow smart guy, nice.
What size emt conduit are you using? Nice and simple set up. Simple is usually best.

Ty
Can you use it for a travel trailer too
@@JoeAlvinHerroldjr yes if the trailer has the “c” shaped track it will work
👍👌❤️🇨🇦, sweet
I count 6 poles that you have. Seriously all of them fit into the pvc pipe??? It seems unbelievable. Do they all fit???
