    These ultra heavy ropes are Crazy! I was honestly surprised I got a double with the 5 lber.
    If these ropes are more than you need, check out the regular Crossrope Set here:

    I really love weighted handles. Are these handles a choice for people that think that slim handles are way too light for the 1/2 pound rope?

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, they are great for all the heavier ropes 👍 Some people even like them better with the 1/4 lb rope. Use what feels better to you.

    I am reading that these ropes geting old with time. I wouldn't prefer that any rope that I pay that much money geting old or crank with time. What do you think, are they durable and for long time usage?

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      What is a long time to you?
      From my personal experience they are incredibly durable for the use I put on them. My current handles that I use are over a year old and still like new and my 1/4 lb rope, which I use the most, has a crack in the pvc but still going strong. I have had to replace it on average around a year, but this one is lasting about a year and a half so far because I've been jumping on a mat more.

    How do you get better with these ropes? I can do alternate foot up to the 3 lb rope, but definitely only a basic jump with these. As I fatigue I start to do horrible form jump rope rows bc it’s just so painful I lose grip. Hoping it gets better with time, or maybe I need to weight lift to get strength for these

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The more you jump with them the better you get. I need to do a heavy jump rope technique tutorial and cover some tips.
      -Keep your lats and arms engaged
      -Power comes in the down stroke
      -Build stamina of max effort (60 sec max singles) 🤜🤙

    DU w/4 & 5? Damn! Do u not like the crossrope LE mat? Saw it briefly in this video but not others or most recent. Have 2 speed pro ropes so need a good mat. Would like the CR LE mat but can’t swing that price right now. Just seeing if It’s Worth saving up for or just get cheap one on amazon? Don’t have any good outdoor surfaces to jump on near me. Thx

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Sorry for the late response.
      I like the le mat. It's great for portability. I use my gorilla mat more because I enjoy the size because I like to move around when I jump. So it depends on your style. If you mostly stay in one spot (like most) then the LE mat will be great.

    have you tried 1lb and 2 lb rope with the ultra heavy handle?The handle just look much better than the power handle

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      I have. I like the power handles better with the 1 lb rope due to the weight of the ultra heavy handles. I can feel the rope better. But they work great with the 2 and 3 lb ropes.

    I got the 3lb and 5lb Crossropes today, 4lb tomorrow.
    The 3lb was great! Upgrade from a 3lb battle rope style so way easier. The 5lb...1 jump at a time only! Couldn't get the timing and didn't wanna hurt myself. It'll be interesting to see what happens with the 4lb. The 2lb is really fun!
    I'm new to jumping; week 2. Not new to fitness, I hike and ruck here in the mountains. Gonna go very slowly with that 5lb. I'm 62.

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice! Ya battle ropes are very difficult to perform with at any level. Way to keep pushing yourself🤜 where do you do most of your hiking?

      @@Jump15official I live where I can see the Appalachian Trail from my front porch. I'm surrounded by other trails such as the Bartram Trail and I often hike on private properties here in the mountains, west of Asheville. I have a place in the mountains of PA also where I spend time and hike. I use weighted vests of late to get more out of a 2 hour hike.
      Got that 4lb Crossrope in and I can skip with It! So I can build up to the 5lb. Mostly got it because it was 20% off on clearance. It's easy to use the 1, 2 and 3 lb ropes every day, as well as the 1/2lb and 1/4lb. I do take a day off. Just started week 3.
      Used the heavy ropes yesterday so today instead of pushing myself I'm going to try to get beyond the basic bounce and get some beginner steps down. Yesterday was HIIT with light ropes too. I'm not in a hurry. No debilitating soreness allowed. So far recovery has been great!

      @@delphinekirkland1757 Nice, sounds like a beautiful area.
      Try descending latter work with the heavy ropes. 4, 3, 2, 1 for 30 seconds each. Take a couple minute rest and repeat. Do 3-4 rounds. It will push your stamina and power of moving those ropes. As your stamina and strength builds add more rounds or more time👍

      @@Jump15officialThanks! I will! I was ascending; warming up with the light ropes, mixing it up, then on to the heavy ropes, then back down to lightest rope for speed. I'm excited to get to boxer steps and sequences. I'm a jazz, blues and soul performer; I end up dancing and singing for up to 3 hours. Haha, I have great stamina and moves but I want to use jump rope to prepare for more dance and martial arts. Also, more stamina for river rafting and more difficult, long hikes.

    I bought these when they first came out awhile back and I feel they are only fun to bring out every now and then cuz i feel overtime this could possibly cause some wrist issues with this kind of weight.

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      I originally had a similar thought, but I honestly didn't feel they added much stress to the wrists vs the 3 lb rope. Like with anything new, start slow and listen to your body. It will be interesting to see how it feels the more I do it.

    Nice review 👍🏻 I ordered mine on Friday can’t wait to try them out. Double unders with these beasts is on another level! What in your opinion is the main benefit of these? I can imagine once you conquer these when you use the 1/4 pound rope it will be like jumping with nothing at all! Keep up the good work!

    • @Jump15official
      @Jump15official  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The main benefit to any heavier rope is increased upper body engagement. This taxes the cardiovascular system faster as well as forces you into better stabilization from the pull of the rope.
      This will make you stronger in the jumping motion helping you maintain better form and technique and build endurance with higher energy output.

    Are Heavy LE Handles compatible on Ultra Heavy Ropes (4 and 5 pounds) ?

    • @jeremybuckets
      @jeremybuckets 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      *technically* they are, same clip system. but the ultra heavy LE handles are weighted, and for these higher weights it really helps to have a little handle weight to counter balance the rope. if you're interested in the 4/5 lbs ropes I would recommend getting the set with the Ultra Heavy handles
