Spoiler alert @01'06"40. "The purpose of the Brain is for the Genome" "the Genome built the Brain for the Genome" Might have to rename the podcast "Genome Science" ? ... though it doesn't roll off the tongue as easily. Excellent food for thought as usual. Thanks for your absolutely brilliant podcasts.
Evolution as such is not about progress necessarily but about genes for genes survival by increased diversity so hopefully some random mutation will be adaptive in a non expected way when environment changes
@@danielgavrilescu2040 ramdomness is a measure of ignorance. It is observed that changes are related with symbiotic relations of existing/living instances competing for diverse resources. The (living)instances are finding a way to survive without knowledge about what they are doing (the try to survive but without reflection on how they are succedding). Sometimes we find changes in structure has occurred producing a new world/living-context... the changes are not related with random statistics but guided by life. Each layer of "understanding"/living define a virtual machine that has NO relationship with lowlevel machinery, living creatures develops in another world, outside of the genetic world, use the genes to modify the virtual space (without the intention/model of understanding lowlevel/gene encoding)
Amazing brain! Thank you so much for your dedication e sharing Ginger! 🌹
Thanks for having such insightful discussions, this podcast is such an incredible resource!
