I never really saw too much of the “bad side” of the Omori fandom(I think) What I’ve seen from the community is that people are either really nice and wholesome, insanely amazing artists, silly chaotic people with a dark sense of humor, or combinations of the three :]
I can agree for the most part but I really hate the dark sense of humor stuff. I have one, and I frequently use dark humor Problem is that similar to DDLC, so many jokes just are “lol Mari hang” and I really hate it. When ppl oversimplify and mock dark material rather than make jokes acknowledging how sad it is, then it’s no longer dark humor, it’s just edgy humor. Basically it’s the difference been DDLC jokes vs Persona 3 jokes.

This is so touching... One of the main reasons I wanted to play omori is because I wanted to be a part of this wonderful community. Omori is really a life changing game. I have had a lot of positive experiences in the fandom, and it's important to talk about that too, but I did want to bring attention to the parts that could be improved. Making a Twitter account doesn’t automatically mean you can’t make an account anywhere else though (in a perfect world it would) so I feel the "it's just Twitter" critism is overrated and undersells the problem. Oh man. Cinavee's animatic of hero's grief is what pushed me to really get into Omori. I pushed off liking Omori for too long because I knew I'd get too invested. Hero's relationship with his brother and Mari hit something deep in me emotionally. Cinnavee a real one!

I remember crying really loudly for an hour after i finished the good ending. I can't listen to Final Duet without crying anymore. This game changed my life. For the better or for the worse. Maybe both. But the point is i wish i could play this game for the first time again.

ELSON YOU BEAT ME TO THIS VIDEO Recently TH-cam and the rest of social media in general caters heavily towards negative/drama content. People are very gullible and make assumptions quickly and it sort of led people to really doubt the Omori community as a "nice" one even though it's been mostly positive since the game came out, I feel like eventually someone would cash in on making another "Insert community drama is insane" video. + it's been god knows how long since the last "omori community is nice" video which sadly got taken down bc of the hate it got. I swear the omori fandom was the best one I was ever in, everyone's so kind and peaceful, the fandom's content is amazing and for once the jokes are really funny. Really a perfect fandom for a perfect game.
Maybe i'm just lucky but i am fortunate to not have seen anything from the bad side of the Omori Community, and the luck keeps on rolling cause i manage to find this well-made and beautiful video.
I think a lot of people like to focus on the bad side of every community and ignore the thousands, if not millions of people, who are passionate about whatever that fan base is for. It happened with Undertale, it happened with Omori, pretty much every game or show that I love, people focus on the bad parts of the fandom just to focus on a few idiots saying things on Twitter. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter. The internet will be the internet. We can’t change that, but we can choose not to focus on it.
Or not. I’m just another dumb kid on the internet. I can’t change anything through this comment.

Recently TH-cam and the rest of social media in general caters heavily towards negative/drama content. People are very gullible and make assumptions quickly and it sort of led people to really doubt the Omori community as a "nice" one even though it's been mostly positive since the game came out, I feel like eventually someone would cash in on making another "Insert community drama is insane" video. + it's been god knows how long since the last "omori community is nice" video which sadly got taken down bc of the hate it got. This is a breath of fresh air, and isn't one of Omori's messages about spreading a positivity instead of fueling hatred?
You know I've always wanted to make a game that's about redemption, I hope the bad side of anything lessen by time.

Twitter is definitely the reason for the most part but still do see some toxics on insta and sometimes even TH-cam… spoiling, forcing their headcanons, etc
