  • This video is simply going over the buttons, doors and menus on the Canon M50 Mark II. I also show a few photo examples from the camera.
    This is to help those who have just purchased the M50 Mark II learn their way around the camera body. The more you know, the less you will feel intimidated with the available features and settings!
    If you have any questions I didn't answer, please let me know in the comments below!

    Good tutorial! I have a question. I have this very same camera. Can you please tell me how to stop it from cutting off every eight seconds in live view? I went into the settings (Review Duration) and disable the time duration and it’s still shutting off every eight or 10 seconds

    Hi,can I mount this lens camera combination on a tripod with the usual camera thread or is too nose heavy as to cause problems thanks

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  ปีที่แล้ว

      Should fit no problem on a regular tripod! Table top tripod, maybe some issues.

    Hi thanks! But did you explain the two buttons on the top right of the back a star and a square?...

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Those are dual purpose: in your shooting mode, the squares are a shortcut to your focus area, the star is to lock exposure. In playback, they zoom in and out of photos you have taken to see detail

    Im still looking at older cameras in my price range trying to decide what to buy. Im having issues figuring out which camera I want. M60 , M50 Mark 2, Sl3 or the Canon T8i

    What is the practical shot capacity of a fully charged battery?

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  ปีที่แล้ว

      It can vary depending on temperature to what your photographing, but usually anywhere from a couple hours to several hours.

    I have a question please
    Can I zoom with kit lens 18-45
    I mean, the camera has zoom??
    Or depends the lens

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Zoom is dependent on the lens attached.

      Are you in P mode or Auto mode when your looking at your menu?

  • @susanschmidt5742
    @susanschmidt5742 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    If I go through P mode and set it for high speed continuous mode, will this also apply when in other modes, i.e. AV or TV? Your video was very helpful.. as I just bought the camera hours again and am a former Nikon J1 User. Thanks.

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the continuous drive mode should stick through the other manual modes. Thank you for watching!

    If i use EF-S 50-250 on the camera body. Will it give the same picture quality from Ef- M 50-250mm tele zoom lens?

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The EF-M has better build and glass, not to mention faster focusing. While the EF-S will get you the distance and decent quality, I would say the EF-M is worth the investment

    I am a beginner in photography and I am looking for a mirrorless camera solely for photography. Can you please let me know which camera - Sony ZV E10 or Canon M50 Mark ii is better for photography including low light performance? Or are both cameras equally good as far as photography is concerned?

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      The M50 mark ii is great if you are working specifically in photography, but the Sony ZVE10 is great if you are doing both photography and video. They have similar qualities, but I will say the lens selection to the native mount is better with Sony. See about going into a local shop and see if you can hold both to see which is more comfortable, sometimes that is the deal breaker!

    Thank you for your very detailed coverage. Does the 'reset camera' function also clear the images on the card or are these saved until the 'reformat' function is applied? Thanks.

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Reset will not effect your memory card. Format will clear your memory card of all data. :)

    Thank you for the video but just reading was is in the back of the Menu without recommended settings, or a better explanation so we could decide by ourselves which settings to choose does not help much. Please give us a more in-depth video.

    • @Shutterbug101
      @Shutterbug101  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      This is just an introduction to the camera. I have a camera basics playlist that I am adding to to break down setting for certain circumstances like long exposure or macro photography, as well as discussing the manual modes and autofocus options and more! If you have a specific situation you would like to prepare for, let me know and I will be happy to help!

  • @seeksprincess987

    Sometimes I can not understand what you are saying, it would help If I can read it, but your video does not offer that choice.

      Thank you for pointing this out! Most of my videos have subtitles that are generated by TH-cam but for some reason this video is having difficulty. I will see about fixing it for this video.
      Until then, if it is helpful, you can turn down the speed of the video to 0.75 and may help the moments where I am going too fast for you. Please let me know if you have any questions!
