I love Fightstar as a band, they're genuinely one of my favorites. Having said that, this cover was a 5 or 6 out of 10 for me, and I agree with your assessment about the vocals AND solos.
You must listen to Fightstar's most recent album Behind the Devil's Back. 👌👍 Personal favourite tracks are "Animal" (heavy/lot of screaming) and "Overdrive" (clean vocals). However "Sharp Tongue" has some amazing Deftones-influenced dynamics. Hard to pick just one suggestion! Haha.
Since you are a fan of Iron Maiden I am not touching this one...... ;-) Since you are a fan of Devin Townsend. Did you know he did a song with Floor on the ReVamp song Neuorsthania. It is really good with the two of them.I know she sang on one of his songs.
agreed. Instrumental was pretty decent. I definitely agree with your cons. I think I like this cover even less than you do. I dunno, it's just not as good as I thought. But it's decent. There's just something about it that I'm not really enjoying. Anyway, good critique bro :)

Thier breaking the law cover is heavy.

honestly.. no.. just no.. felt flat and effortless. sounded like they did it just to do it, not because they wanted to.
