Sticky is the first and only candy shop in Singapore that makes handmade rock candy and the best thing is that they display their candy making for the public to see.
In this video we see the making process of grape rock candy getting made
Special thanks to Sticky Candy for giving us permission to film this at their upcoming candy lab!

Wow. I’m so impressed with the skill level of these guys. I will have a lot more respect for the work that goes in to candy rather than just eat it without another thought.
So satisfying watching them cut the candies.

I wish I could eat the candy while it is strechy
You can make them at home. All you need is sugar, lemon, and water. Lemon is so that it doesn't crystalize while you're melting the sugar.
I guess you like a burned mouth then.
Then eat strechy candy
It will be edible sugar slime
Wooosh If Gay thats why they said “i wish”
Totally amazed!! You never know how much work goes into making things. Love it
People keeping the art of old fashioned candy making alive! Thank you!
it costs more...
@@tmpEngine good things usually do cost more
Wow! Amazing video for the following reasons.
• No awful music
• No subtitles or text
• No patronising explanation of commentary
• Good camera work
• Incredible skill

Agreed. I always watch them but rarely buy any.

Okay that is cool can you imagine how awesome if your parents worked a job like that or if you personaly work a job like that then you could eat candy you make yourself
I watch a little boy who has ASD, he LOVES watching videos like this because its simple and quiet, yet engaging. It doesn't hurt that its candy!
That is amazing! When he put the little grape image up to the camera, I was blown away. Super neat!
In Germany every Traditional Hand Made Hard Candy made like that.
Yep, little Grapes, Strawberry, Apple..what ever u want.
Cool Video, Thank u!! 👌
Are they can Made "Ricardo Milos" on the middle?
@@adephbratfoys seriously dude.....
@@adephbratfoys THAT'S GONNA BE AWESOME
I really appreciate that this video just lets us hear the sounds in the room rather than the usual mind numbingly annoying music that usually plays in the background of so many of these types of videos. Thank you! These guys really work well together, very cool process.
I noticed as they cut the small pieces I could see the grape slowly rotating because the candy was twisted as it was stretched. Very cool!!!
When they showed the little grapes it blew my mind xD
Minicule X me too
You should look up Lofty Pursuits on TH-cam. It's a candy shop in Florida that does this type of candy too.
HOW DID THEY DO THIS ?????

Wow! So fascinating! Very interesting how they put the coloured molten sugars together. Will never look at this sort of candy the same way again! Thank you for sharing!
The way they made the grape in the middle... GENIUS!!!
Holy cow, that was cool! That's the most satisfying TH-cam video I've seen in quite a while. The little grapes were super cool at the end. You always think of big machines doing all the work, so it was really impressive to know that there are still "real" candy-makers out there. Great job! :)

My brain n my eyes : "Ooh Thats Satisfying"

Wonderful to see that the Candy Craft/Art has not been lost, at least in Singapore. Doing things by hand, and with pride, is always preferable to machine mass produced.
I miss this here in America. Traditional ways of doing things have been lost and largely forgotten. Sad. Sometimes we lose so much with 'modernization'.
The Craftsmen/Artists at Sticky Singapore are amazing!
Thank you for this video!
Aye
Even dough I agree it’s still more efficient and cost less using machine. So they just gotta keep it that way
Check out Lofty Pursuits
Lofty Pursuits, aka Public Displays of Confection, has a great channel out of Tallahassee making image candy like this. Also check out Hercules Candy's channel. Many of their chocolates are still made (by hand) by the grandson of the man who started the business. I think you might be surprised how many of these old crafts survive (although barely). I am very grateful that youtube provides a venue where they can be shared and celebrated.
They still make it this way in Blackpool England and even let the public watch as well. There are also big factories that make it with machines.
We always called that Cut Rock candy ! Always had it at Christmas. I knew as soon as i saw the colors they made it was gonna be grape cut rock !! Love how you outlined the light purple with the dark purple to give the grapes definition.
Nice work !!

I went to one of these before. Got suited up and everything and tried making candy. Hell to the no, it's not easy. When they pour the sugar, you're uncomfortably hot so I handed that over to the candy man, then when we stretched the candy, you could still feel some heat through the gloves, so I handed that over to him too, then on the larger peices, we used the hook, but I was so weak af, I handed that over to him too. Rolling it, shaping it, twisting it, and pulling it was even difficult for me. Hell, I couldn't even cut it right after we were done. I failed so miserably that I never wanted to go back lol
