  • I have owned this bike for a little over a year and I wanted to do a quick review. It has been a great bike with no issues. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
    Here is a link to the manufacturers site.

    I've got this same bike, same color. Had it for about 8 years, love of my life, haven't looked at other recumbents since!

    Great review- thanks! One question please - how tricky are these bikes at starting off uphill, especially when laden? Thanks

      You can also get some great ones that sling under the seat and are far more aero. And keep the cg low and close.

    Great review, I'm been looking at this one and the 3 wheeler for a while now and I can see how both would serve me well. I'm still not sure if I want to go two wheel or three. I only wish I could see these bikes in person. Living in Newfoundland Canada, that's not going to happen and I always like to see what I'm buying... Sure looks like it could make biking a lot of fun. I think the two wheeler might be faster and easier to hide in the woods if I use it to travel to and from the salmon rivers here in the summer.

      NLGhostWolf the two wheeler is much more manageable in tight place called as it's not as wide. The trike is nice because you have a seat any time you stop.

    Thanks for that, Tom. Helpful video for a newbie to recumbent bikes like me. I wish you had given us an idea of the cost of your whole set up. Cheers from Western Australia (where recumbents are a rarity).

    Looks like a nice bike , one thing that i imagine might be a tad tricky (please correct me if i`m wrong ) is getting on and off the bike , i have seen others with the high mounted steering two wheel recumbents that hinges up and down , and that does not look too bad for getting on and off .
    It has been a while since you uploaded this video , do you still have this machine ?

    I have a Bacchetta Strada and never have ridden with under seat steering. How do you like it ? Is controllability about the same as with above seat steering ? I noticed you ride with platform pedals. Do your feet occasionally slip off ? Mine do with platforms, and therefore I use clipless even though I prefer platform pedals . I considering the Street Machine . Thanks

      I used to have clip ins but I switched over to a BMX platform with fairly sharp spikes and they hold my feet well. I had a lot of trouble with the clip in shoes not being comfortable. I really love the under seat steering and once you have ridden it, there is no going back :) It is probably a bit harder to get used to but not that much. Not twitchy at all.

    Hi.What average speed do you do with this bike.I have a road bike and wonder how they compare to speed with them

    • @markthomasson5077
      @markthomasson5077 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Depends on terrain. If hilly, probably slower. Anyway it is not a speed machine, it is for comfy long distance touring

    Thanks for the review. One little question: in case there's no luggage at all, does the rear wheel tend to lift when braking really hard? Most "swb" have the front wheel quite close to the center gravity, so some of them might have that problem...

    I've the earlier steel version Street MAchine GT which is very much the same configuration but a one-piece seat. Such a wonderful ride, I've even used it on mountrails for something of a challenge. Unlike others on uprights, I don't share any of their pains or discomfort. The Scorpion is great too, particularly for filming.

    NICEW REVIEW. DID YOU GET THE TRIKE AS WELL? IF SO HOW DID IT COMPARE TO THE STREETMACHINE?

      I have taken the trike for a demo ride but not enough to do a full review of it.
