I cried listening to this. 😢 My husband is a disabled vet who still works to help support his family. He feels so much weight and I see it every day. I just want to tell you, Dax, that some men are seen a lot more than this song portrays. Mine is loved and appreciated more than he realizes. He is so much more than what he provides inside our home.

I dedicated this to my husband and instantly started crying because he is such a tough, strong man who provides for his family and manages over our church during the week in the homeless. That is his full-time job. I just recently lost a friend of suicide two days ago. I'm a wreck and he's holding everything together and comforting me at the same time. I'm absolutely an emotional wreck but my man, my amazing awesome man is helping me stay strong because he's the most amazing man I've ever met and I dedicate this beautiful song to him

I experienced what’s it like to be a man when my wife was rushed to the ER because of septic shock. When they let me come in, I seen she was on life support, and the doctors were not able to tell me if she would live through it.
They had me step outside of the room. I stood there shaking, and stunned. Down the hall a woman was crying because her husband was in a motorcycle accident and I heard them tell her he will live. What got to me there were several staff members consoling her, hugging her, telling her it will be ok. They gave her a chair, tissues and a cold hand towel.
I never once was consoled. Not even a head nod, a hand on the shoulder, asked if I was okay, no chair, no telling me that it will be ok. I really could have used a hug… the woman I’ve loved for 30 years was dying, and no one, not even family members, my grown kids knew what level of pain I held in . I didn’t want any attention because I wanted them to just think about my wife. I couldn’t burden anyone else with my emotions, in fact, I had to be the rock when no one else could.
She did live, after 3 months in the hospital. After work I’m her care giver…. It’s been like that for almost 2 years. No one offers to give me a break or even help me out… it’s expected of me. I’ve sat in my truck slamming my fists on the steering wheel, in anger, and then I sob… I often feel so alone, even in a crowd.
I'm so sorry brother. While I can't directly relate I can see how hard that situation was and is. Sometimes you just need a hug, a word, some kind of acknowledgement and a sign of love. Prayers to you, wife and family brother. I see you 🙏🏻❤️

I just seen it. And the moment ge gets home I'm going to hug him so fucking hard 😔 I didn't know it was like this. But this is like the 10th reaction I've watched tonight. And reading all the comments. I'm broken over this realization.
There are those of us that know, but you men have to let go and understand that WE are a soft place to fall, there is only so much we can do when we ask and you DO NOT budge. Forget what society tells you, WE as your partner know you, and all we want to do is help. That goes for the emotionally healthy women.

@King Family Reacts thank you brother. Being 26 and having to go to rehab for heroin and alcohol I feel so ashamed. Didn't do dope but I started to drink again. Glad to say I just finished pouring out what I had and called my sponsor. I'm not a man of God but I know a higher power is looking over all of us. I should have been dead in high-school from addiction. Glad to say though I am 8 months clean of drugs. Alcohol I can't say the same.

Dax spoke so much truth here. I have been a fan of his for years and he touches me in every song. So many of us men struggle with depression and turn to drugs and alcohol. Then we tear ourselves down and hate ourselves because we are addicted to the drink. It's a revolving door

As a man, father, and husband it’s very hard to articulate our feelings or struggles but this song hits the nail square on the head. As a father I struggle hard with finding the correct balance between working tons of overtime to provide a upbringing much better than my own or spending more time with my son. As a man it seems to be a damned if you do, damned if you don’t scenario.

Cool fact about this video, is none of the people in the video were actors. These were all real men, portraying their real jobs. Dax went back to KS where he went to college and found locals and added them to the video. Makes the video even hit harder, when you know those are real-men portraying real emotions.

Men lucky enough to have friends open up to their boys where they can be safe and supported. 99% of the time if a man is emotional to his woman, he loses respect, attractiveness, and it is used against him whenever there is an argument of she is having a bad day. She also typically disparages him to all of her girlfriends as well.
Men typically are not taught to not express emotion, we learn by experience. Sadly, a lot of that experience is trauma inflicted by women we trusted with out vulnerability.

). I have a big responsibility to live up to. Not only are my girls going to look to me for protection and strength but they’re going mold their idea of a husband after me and that’s a tall responsibility to live up too. I will fail at times but we gotta be strong.

I can relate brother. Im all alone with just my two boys and its so hard, but when i see my boys i know that they truly love me for me and it gives me a surreal amount of strength to push forward.

I thank you for your review and honesty. I know, as a single mother, that watching your kids watch you can be the hardest moments in life. I'm expected to have it all together, too not need a man, to not be lonely or sad or nothing more to any man out there than the one thing they want that i don't put out.
I know what you mean about feeling replaceable... this whole world is a throw away world, nothing is fixed, just replaced. You, me... hell my kids don't even want to be with either parent, they just want out and how do we deal with that all in our own? I'm blessed that their dad and I at least can co-parent most the time... but it doesn't equal a marriage or a friend or a hug when you need one.

We are taught as a man to compartmentalize our feelings because we are to not feel pain, hurt, sadness, fear nor anger. We are taught to “man up” and be a strong provider. I would never wish upon anyone to see nor do what I’ve had to do in my life that is why I share the beauty that I see within the world on my website. I commend you for being able to show your emotions however, I was taught to never show weakness nor cry because it’s the biggest weakness anyone can use against you!
