    Peg, your video is very inspiring. I may dig out my not-very-used Gelli plate and give it another go. Thank you.

    I never would have imagined that you could pull prints like, and then make them that transparent with petroleum jelly. Beautiful prints, I loved ‘em!

    Hi Peg, I like your videos a lot and on this cold morning in Northern Illinois- I was up really earl -watched several of them to get my day going. Yay! I got to know Shel C. Before you and I can see why you work and have fun together so much. Thanks for sharing your process with us all out here in TH-cam land. I will keep watching you both for more great times in art journaling and mixed media. Good to be with like-minded people.

    Hi Peg, your channel is new to me but what a blessing! I have watched many gel printing videos, but I saw some techniques I have not seen before and feel so inspired. Your prints are beautiful I love them all. Thanks for the tips! TFS!!!!!

    Glad I happened upon this. I just received my geli plate in the mail about a week ago. Never used one before and afraid to start! I was interested in printing fabric with mine. Nice to see it in action. Thanks.

    This was fun and instructive. Some really fun stuff! I love that you can use the powders, but my favourite one was the the one the brayered over the top of the paper with the stencil underneath.

    So happy to see how you are using other paint than acrylics on a gelli plate! So we can use chalk paint and any other paint? The graphite effect is amazing! Can I use natural pigment powder too the same way?

      I don’t se why not. Just give it a try.

      Most are collage fodder or turned into journal pages. Thanks.

    Could you put a piece of wood over it to transfer to wood or would you need to mod pudge to wood after printing?

      Florisabel Castillo I think the one you’re looking for is by Stencilgirl and it’s called Floral 1 Stencil. Product code is L307. Just put either in the search bar and it will show up. If that doesn’t work search by category.

    Wouldn't it be difficult to adhere the petroleum jelly infused print to a base (other than sewing etc)? Wouldn't the jelly also leach into other materials? I suspect the 'glaze' you used would not.

    • @PegRobinson
      @PegRobinson  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Use a good matte or gel medium to adhere. I have not had leach problems but
      I only use these in junk journals so not an issue. Many times, I use wax on journal pages to keep the pages from sticking together. You could also seal with encaustic and bees wax.

    • @PegRobinson
      @PegRobinson  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      There are tons of ways to use them. Just think of them as you would any other printed paper. Make cards tags altered art anything that you can think of to use for scrapbooking, collage, etc.

    You should never use a heat tool of any kind... your plate can burn or catch on fire...
