The original game is a visual novel with turn based combat for fight scenes, and the sequel ditches the visual novel aspect entirely in favor of a sprite style turn based RPG. The games are very NSFW so I don't necessarily recommend them on that basis. The games are basically a NSFW parody of SMT, though it becomes less of a parody the further in you get. Starts with wacky 4th wall breaking stuff, ends with feels. You were absolutely right about Alice's theme 2 being the climax of her story. Basically Alice is your travelling companion throughout the game but she's secretly the queen of the monsters; a title she inherited from her mother. Alice believed that because Ilias the Goddess of Creation, (Often referred to as just God.) was using the humans in a proxy war against the monsters, the only possible way out of the endless war was for her to be killed by a benevolent human that could serve as a peace maker after her death. This song plays when she reveals her plan to Luka, the main character. This is the moment where you get the choice to kill her and get a bad ending or sheath your sword. Upon sparing her, Luka decides that if God has declared Alice is evil, then he'll kill God. God responds by declaring total war against both humanity and the monsters. That's pretty much the moment it becomes an SMT game. The Four Heavenly Knights are bosses that eventually join your side. Early on their theme basically means, "I'm about to get my butt kicked." but later on it becomes your hype song in the final arc with the war against heaven. Breaking the sex mechanics to help tell the story at the same time the story becomes the focus over the sex scenes. Absolute cinema.

so what you imagine for a visual novel is actually called a kinetic novel, where there is no change and its just a performed story from start to finish, but any decent visual novel also has multiple dialogue options that change the story either a little or even entirely changing what kind of story you are in depending on if it functions using different routes, there is romance simulations where its about buiding up an unseen relationship point counter to end up wit hthe particular character of your choosing ,and a decent VA then shifts from the common route to a dedicated character route. wich can be of varying lenghts. or in the case of monster girl quest where it does have simulated battles where your choices matter. as its less about winning normally as to finding out what actions to take in battle to win when you are in fact always weaker then the opponent up front
RPG Maker music always has a certain sound, the compositions can change of course and I remember this "game" having...more in-depth musical touches than "normal" in this genre 😂

(even if most of them can be summarised as "too exausted, he lost his will to fight and do whatever she wants" which can indeed rresult in a range from "you are now husband" to "you are now dinner" or plain death by exaustion) I can't talk for Paradox tho, havn't played it yet.

There are 5 versions of that song with each their twist on the mood of the piece so maybe they would be a good suggestion to listen to someday. To be fair, midway in part 2 then on part 3 of the original you have to stay for the story. The game becomes way too weird for people to just stay for the kinks, some of these encounters are borderline "biblically accruate / eldritch" beings...
