I live about 60 miles south of Chicago and my wife and I put out two bird feeders and peanuts not more than 2 months ago to feed the birds and squirrels, and all of these birds come about three times a day to eat, as well as around ten other kinds. It's really relaxing to sit at my kitchen table with my coffee and watch all these guys and their shenanigans.
That's awesome--My family recently got a feeder too and it's such an underrated way to appreciate nature. So cool to see them even in winter. Anyways thanks for watching & enjoy your birding
Thx for the vid, bro. The bird call I was searching for happened to be the first on your list: redwing blackbird. Been hearing it all my life but no one ever seemed to know. Love that sound! Thanks again.
Common misconception at 3:00, the Mourning dove's chirping as it takes off is actually caused by air rapidly passing through it's unique feather shape.

Very cool that you're in N. Illinois too! Thanks for doing this. I always wondered what calls I've been hearing.
Glad it helped!
