I have two smartdolls, A Ressilient and a Chitose, and they are an absolute joy. I also bought mine so that I could sew for them, and it's been my favourite thing to do. Genesis is beautiful, enjoy her!

It's cute but then spews hot steam on my fingers! Honestly I love it though, since I made myself a doll sized pressing station next to my sewing machine I actually press clothes when I sew and that makes the clothes nice and crisp 😊

Sweetie, for the strip cut on the bias where you have a shortage of fabric, you could have cut it on the other bias (leave fabric the way you showed us) move left end up and right end down. You would not have had to piece several portions together. You are quite an accomplished seamstress, I’m glad to see your beautiful work.

So cute! The sewing looks so scary and complicated, although I sew too. But I really struggle with patterns and suchlike. However the garment you made looks adorable!
It's actually really easy after you try a couple of different patterns (for dolls or humans). Most clothing is sewn up in roughly the same order and as you use the patterns the steps kinda just get stuck in your head and you know what to do 😊
@@Enchanterium That makes sense, I guess I just need to get over my fears and try a few times so I can get the hang of it, hehe! :D
After you get the hang of the basic blocks (for example shirts usually go shoulders, sleeves, side seams) you can add and remove elements, like hem the armholes instead of adding sleeves, or draft some funny sleeves, add a turtleneck or a different neckline, it's just builds up from there! Or try making a jacket and practice putting in collars etc. I'd recommend adding one new feature every time you make something new to expand your repertoire! I just love sewing, and learning new stuff to sew is so exciting to me!
@@Enchanterium Those are good ideas, thank you for the advice! I have recently been feeling more inspired to try and sew more for my dolls, as well as trying out more fun designs, so it's really nice to get some extra encouragement! and I agree, it's so cool when I discover I can actually sew something that seemed so mystical and impossible!
I think my next project might be making a pleated skirt which is going to take a lot of discipline, haha!

Nie wiem co napisać, po prostu napiszę w prost, uwielbiam wasze filmy, są super, no i do tego od dłuższego czasu oglądania waszego kanału domyślałem się że jesteście z polski, lecz teraz wreszcie jestem tego pewien! (Chociaż pewnie to nie jest nic niesamowitego..)

There will be a literal closet but full of clothes 😊 I'm a bit scared of making wigs cause I know the first few are gonna suck, neither of us are great with wigs cause we mainly reroot 😉
@@Enchanterium oh maybe check out mozekyto on youtube. They have some awesome wig tutorials. Rerooting looks so nice but man i don't have the patience for it. Can't wait to see all the cool clothes you'll make!
Yes, I know her tutorials however I never can make long wefts with acrylic yarn, the wigs would be very short ;) I looked into getting some natural fibers but they're very expensive for ruining them by not knowing how to make a wig 😂

Making bias tape looks harder than it is. Once you have made it a few times you will love how much nicer they can be when the go with your project.
When I stitch small things with the sewing machine I put a little tab of fabric through first the the end of the project in at the end of the tab
I agree! It's super easy to use and not scary at all, and when you actually are cutting it on the bias everything looks sooooo good. Bias tape is permanently staying in my sewing repertoire!
@@Enchanterium I have metal fabric bias tape makers. You can get kits with different sizes too. There fold both sides down as the fabric slides through. Saves your fingers from burns.

I love the sewing videos!! I make doll clothes too (18” American girl), but all the tips you have cross over amazingly! Do you have a recommendation for finishing edges? Whenever I try to finish the edges with a zig zag stitch, my machine tries to “eat” the fabric, or bunches it up into a blob in the zigzag. :(
I have an overlooking foot that I prefer for finishing the edges. It has a piece of metal going straight down kinda to the back of the foot (I'm sure you can find a pic 😂) and that prevents the fabric from bunching when the needle pulls the thread to the left. Mine was around £5. If not, try transferring your pattern on the fabric, cut it roughly with bigger seam allowance, zigzag about the drawn lines and trim after zigzaging. I don't know how advanced you are but you can try playing with your thread tensions as well, that might help! Honestly the best solution is probably an overlocker tho but I'm too scared that I won't know how to use it, it looks so complicated!

It's been a decade and a half since I last saw this movie so I can't remember off hand what the rules were but I do remember the "don't feed after midnight" and the "don't get wet"; I think there was one more rule. That movie was sooooo cheesy but in a classic funny way.... now if you'll excuse me I'm off to check Netflix to see if they have it so I can watch it after tucking my son in....

She's stunning and the outfit is too cute, i would just say be careful with dark colors, especially black on vinyl dolls, they tend to stain really easily Signed, from the desk of my unfortunate experiences
I knowwwww, one with already stained the head. It's covered under the wig tho so I'm not too mad. The sweater I made out of an old, very frequently washed shirt, so I wasn't too worried - and she wore it for less than an hour. Thanks for the remainder, I'll be so bummed if she visibly stains!
