    Hello everyone, In today's video I will be discussing an absolutely unbelievable story. A hiker that was living in Alaska for a decade would take 2 week hikes every year. In 1995 this man, Jake was out with his Siberian Husky and going out for a two week hike, to camp and take pictures of the northern lights. In this video I discus what happened to Jake in 1995 when he went out for his yearly hike.
    Thank you all for watching🙏

    My dearest friend killed himself and I found him minutes later. It was immediately obvious that he was gone and not coming back. For months afterwards I would see someone who resembled him and feel for a moment that I was about to see him again, that somehow it had all been a mistake, that I would get to hug him once more, even though I had seen what I had seen. And then I would be sobbing because I drove past some guy in a hoodie. I cannot imagine what having a missing loved one must feel like. Thank you for reminding us to be respectful towards the loved ones who are suffering.

      That was his spirit coming to you through others,,, my Daddy passed in 1999,,, I would get a glimpse of a person and see him,,, and one day i saw a man, i saw the back of him walking,,, just like my daddy,,, he turned around and LOOKED AT ME AND SMILED HIS CROOKED SWEET SMILE, IT WAS MY DADDY FOR JUST A MOMENT,,, , and then he turned away and walked on,,,, I followed him and it was a man that looked like my daddy,,, but for that moment it was him.

      I feel your pain....i found my little brother passed away 11 years ago this March.....still hurts but eventually the grieving and other too heavy to cope with emotions slowly fade with time and proper healing....you gotta allow yourself to go thru all the phases no matter how painful...i put it off and numbed it with drugs for years and it just made it worse....praying for you

    What an incredible story. How long she was out there, frozen. It's amazing that the wolves didn't return and finish what they started. I'm so glad that she wrote that note to explain. I wish more people would leave a note. It's the not knowing what happened that is so hard.

    Alaskan here… I am blessed to get to see the Northern Lights from my own bed every time they’re out. There is nothing like being able to be out and about in our beautiful country. There are many reasons people would be out and about hunting, and doing research, etc in the wilderness. What a good soul this man has and a smart dog( own a husky myself). You need to realize that our state is huge and wild. Anyone who lives here knows this and understands that there are inherent risks to back country activity. It takes just one thing to go wrong to cost a life. Jake, thank you for serving our country and for being such a good guy to help bring this woman home. I’m glad you were able to reconnect with family, etc. and got to experience the connection with our unique home. God bless.

    Our church group from Comanche Texas to a bus tour yrs ago and 1 of the stops was Mt Rushmore. One of our group was taking pictures with a telescopic lens and noticed a mountain goat on a ledge. It just was standing there staring down at something. The man took a picture when we got home he developed them all and in the picture with the goat he could see the goat was staring down at what appeared to be a strange bundle. The park was notified and the went to the site to investigate. Turns out, it was a body wrapped up and bound by rope. It was ruled a homicide.

    Bryan, thank you for your stories. I just watched the tragic story about the frozen woman in Alaska. I am sincere in asking this question and not being disrespectful of you. I've lived in mountainous country in Montana, with brutal, eight- or nine- month long winters, so I know about freezing, and below zero conditions. But I wonder how that woman's body remained frozen for eight years without thawing, or being chewed on by wild animals. Did that area never warm up at all in summer? Just very curious. Also, about her and her companions being attacked by wolves, that is so unusual. I have heard that wolves don't generally attack people. Mountain lions and bears will attack and eat oeople. but not wolves? There are so many questions I have about this situation. Do you know the answers?

    • @rojoknight
      @rojoknight 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Asking the same Marjorie. But in some elevations things never thaw out. As for wolves had some dealings with wild dog packs again I'm always armed to the teeth when in the woods so I won they lost. Also no one was concerned about the other members of her hunting party.

    Back in the fall of 1983, my brother, his wife and kids, moved back to our home state of MI and were staying with old friends of theirs, in an extremely rural northern area, while they were looking for a new home. My friend, her small daughter (we brought my handmade quilt and a pillow for her daughter, so she could be comfy, if she got tired, as their location was about a 2-hour drive) and I decided to go see them. I have no idea why I felt the need to do an almost 4-hour round trip ride and to start the trip later in the day.
    We ended up getting lost on all the unmarked backroads and as it was getting dark, were looking for any house to ask to use a phone and find out where we were. We came around a curve in a partially wooded, desolate area and in the middle of the dirt road were two girls, covered in blood, one laying on her back, with her head in the others lap. The one sitting up was crying and wouldn't say anything, the other one was shaking but quiet, with her eyes closed and we figured she was in shock, so we tucked the quilt around her and put the pillow under her feet. My friend took my car to see if she could find a house and call for help. I kept talking to the girls and used my ripped-up t-shirt (that had been under my sweatshirt) to try to stop some of the worst bleeding. When the state police got there (rescue was still on its way), almost an hour later and we were answering questions, one cop noticed a small light in the trees (it was now dark), quite far from the road. Turns out the girls were drinking, must have taken the curve too fast, lost control and went into the woods. The girl sitting up must have dragged the other one out to the road. We were told to leave the area, after they had our info. The next morning, I found the quilt on my porch. The state troopers must have handed it off throughout the night, to get it back to me. I did find out that the girls were sisters and that they both survived (The one laying down required surgery). Who knows how long they would have been out there before being found, if it wasn't for something as simple as getting lost in an area where I had never been before?

During the congo crisis I was picked along with others to escort British missionaries out of the Congo during the crisis. I've seen bodies of men, women and children stacked eight feet high killed for just being in the wrong place at the wrong time by mercenaries. He was less than 50 yards from a parking lot and he was with a friend His friend was loading gear into his truck and went back to get my grandfather. They were never out of ear shot of each other and they were separated for less than 5 minutes. My grandfather needed assistance to walk back to the truck. When his friend returned to get him he was gone. He was unable to wander off and no tracks were found by searchers or dogs leaving the place he was last seen.

      @@bawattsyl that makes more sense. I lived in Fairbanks for a long time and I suspected it was further north than that in a remote village. You did a good job of changing the facts, while it raised some questions in my mind as a former (well now 2nd home) Alaskan because summers in northern Alaska can get up to 90 degrees F and winters can get done to -75 degrees F. And yes glacier areas will not thaw even in those temperatures.
      I hope “Jake” is doing well and living a happy and blessed life. I hope the young woman’s family has had closure, found healing and are at peace with what transpired. Alaska back country is a beautiful but also deadly place. It’s not for the inexperienced that’s for sure. I was a first responder up there and the amount of people I’ve seen lost in the vast wilderness is uncountable. I take my son back country camping up there every year so he learns the survival skills he needs to survive anything. I’ve taught him everything from basic back country camping to bare bones survival camping (with our real gear if needed obviously). As much as I love Alaska I had to get myself and my son out of there because I was isolating us there and it was time to move on. I still have land there and we spend a great deal of time there and it’s precious and sacred to us.
