- Following on from my last post of the 1984 hit for Madonna 'Borderline', I have brought out of hiding a wonderful club anthem from the same year. 'Coming Out Of Hiding' was a dance floor hit for Pamala Stanley who had first released an album at the height of disco in 1979, and achieved Billboard Dance Chart love for her single 'I Don't Want to Talk About It' in 1983 which i recall being popular in clubs, but it was this follow up the next year which struck a chord with me. 'Coming Out Of Hiding' came to me via a 12 inch single and this is the version I am most familiar with. I only recently discovered there was a promotional video made for the song, and so I have re-edited it and used the extended mix to create this post. Pamala continued to make more dance music in the 1980's but reinvented herself in the following decades with jazz and show tunes. Pamala continues to delight fans and audiences in the 2020's. So glad she came out of hiding!
