Snorkeling Point Peron - Western Australia

Snorkeling at Point Peron after our scuba diving plans fell through (no tanks available for hire!). We had a slightly chaotic start when a helicopter stopped us due to a 2-meter hammerhead shark spotted about 50 meters in front of us. Visibility wasn't great, and fish were scarce, but I did see my first wild octopus! Point Peron seems to be mostly about the rock structures and the plant life. We plan on returning with scuba gear to fully explore the reef.

Water is too mirky and as a result i was unable to see anything. Please consider the water conditions next time. Any issues do NOT hesitate to contact me

I looked up mirky and googled stated that mirky is the old-fashioned way of spelling murky. I think becoz I'm so old fashioned I gravitate towards mirky, however a young scholar like you might prefer murky
