Crystal River area is a nice quiet old Florida kind of town so we have been visiting there for the past several years and started looking for property. We finally found something very inexpensive with an old Mobile Home on it, so electric, well and septic included (no $6000 impact fees) and pulled the trigger.
Follow along on our adventure to fixing up this old crappy trailer into our winter vacation home paradise! (Casa De Cheez)

HI Cheez! I bought a Bend Pak 4-post 15-20 years ago. I'd buy one again in a heartbeat. Just don't tell anyone you've got one... Congrats, you will love it.
1st! Nice I like those fours post lifts too, maybe I'll get one of them later but they kind of take a lot of room. Yeah definitely don't tell anybody 🤣
Sweet lift...I'm super jealous! I loved your creativity unloading the truck and moving the crate into your garage. Good thing you had the loader and several helpers. Looking forward to seeing this bad boy in action. Always love the Cheesy videos! 🧀👍
Thanks!!!
That's shaping up to be a fun shop. Great vid Cheezy.
Thanks!
I put mine up all by myself no lifting machines other than a floor jack. Installed it in one day. 10,000lbs Weaver lift.
Dayum! That's impressive
I was 70 years old when I did it 3 years ago
@alk5749 whoa. That's awesome
Ya know? Mini's gonna be pissed when she learns she's not where she can be to get lifted for a belly-rub. Good lookin' lift, every man's envy for maintenance work.
She definitely will be!
The Cheezy Compound is coming along nicely. You need to get a big shop fan. I can feel that Florida humidity from Vegas.
Thanks, yes! It's on the list
Congratulations on the lift.
Thank you
Man thats badass!! Congratulations man!! Im sure you will be makin some set up to put the enduros on that! LOL
I am thinking about how to make something work
Very cool, great price
Oh boy. That's going to make your auto projects SO much easier now. Congratulations.
I'm 61 and would LOVE to have a lift. Sadly my garage is not big enough.
I hope so, thanks! I have one of them scissor lifts up north because my other garage isn't big enough and they work pretty good
Florida suits you. 👍 I see that company has tire machines/balancers too.
Don’t be givin Mrs grandma Cheez any crap. Beautiful lift. You should be able to do some damage with that.
That was my mom! 83 and still working hard. I hope it does some damage!
Thanks that’s a great price too 😊
After a month of use, readjust the safety lock cable. Mine started only releasing one side when you dropped the lift, scary first time it did it.
Good idea, yes they said even check the balance and cables too And the bolts to the floor
Yup
Now Moto, you know, you can't fire momma Moto, she's the boss😊
Can never fire my mom! 74 and still working hard
@@MotoCheez very true Moto very true.. My mom's gonna be 88 this year
@vharrald my dad's going to be 88 too
@@MotoCheez sadly my dad passed away in 09... From metastatic liver cancer

Yes!
I just received the same lift yesterday so far very impressed with the quality
Awesome, mine still working great
Thank you for the great video. You filled in the missing info from the install manual that I have.. 👍🏻 much appreciated
Huge thanks to Cheez for letting us use this lift and his shop to do a frame swap on a tacoma! Can confirm lift install was done perfectly and the lift itself is great quality and beefy as heck.
So when are Mini and the Fiero going to get some of that Florida sunshine?!
Probably someday but no plans yet
A great tool to add to your collection ! The shop is so different from your house garage up north . It was tight ,but you always made it work , and somehow you knew where everything was .good show Moto !…..
I know, I won't know what to do with all the space now
@@MotoCheez we have confidence you won’t have any trouble making it homey , when I was delivering concrete for pole barn and big garage buildings sometimes the owner would say I hope I didn’t make it too big , I told them that thought will go away in 3 months. And I was always right . Enjoy your shop , it was in the making for a long time .
I definitely with it was 50x100!
Doors coming Tuesday
@@MotoCheez next for the hot season your engineer skills with come into play , a high volume fan in the right spot will do wonders ,and with the doors you will have options.we’ll be watching for the next video….51 degrees yesterday , today it’s at 30 with stiff breeze upstate NY . It won’t be long , good weather is coming……
@mikeizzano172 I did order a 9000 cubic feet per minute floor fan last night through Amazon, eventually I have a mobile home air conditioner unit I will be putting in but after I get roof insulated.
I hear the weather's been decent up north by the time I get up there It should be good!
Yup you’ll be an expert when it’s done😂🤣
EXACTLY
I used to install lifts back in the early 90s. One thing I noticed here Cheesy is that you have plenty of head room. You could go to a qualified hydraulic shop and have them make you some new lines - taller/higher lines - to the exact spec as your motor requires. It might cost a couple hundred, but really not too bad. We used to do it out in the field with a tubing bender and a flare tool. That would allow you another what, 20" of height? (hard to tell from here) Anyhoo, nice job brotha. We never really 'need' a lift, until we've had one for awhile and it breaks down then we realize just how nice they are. Congrats man, lookin good.
That is a great idea! Fabricating and extension to go up another two feet to raise the bar , no pun intended, would be great for the taller vehicles to reach maximum height. The arms only lift 6 ft so the problem would only be with vans and taller vehicles. The Rubicon my son put on almost reach maximum height within 1 in or so before it hit the safety bar.
The only problem is I'd have to get extended steel cables along with the hydraulic hoses
Centering on lift, pull up till drivers seat is centered on lift post.
Is that a general rule for all vehicles? Sounds logical
Pretty much
@alk5749 good gauge to go by...
Cheese, should have called me, I anchor machines every day! I am in the area of you.
I didn't know that!
Congratulations Cheezy :D
Thank you!
You can make a bike or motorcycle attachment for it.. 😂
That's exactly what I was thinking to do!
Any updates on the quality? Any issues with it after 6 months?? Excellent video and much appreciated!
No issues, beside tightening the bottom fitting to hydraulic rams. They left a small wet oil spot , all good after tightening. Other then that it's been great!
How are you liking this lift? You should make an update video! Great video by the way!
I love it. I have a few e-bike review videos using the lift and I also put a set of tires on my Rubicon recently. But yes I should probably do an update
Tell Mom that she's going to have to put her phone in a basket and no talking back.
🤣🤣😂 she was recording me
Great video!
Thanks 👍🏻
Nice job. How about a 10 minute review on those new Milwaukee tools. My Dewalt are wearing out. Thinking about switching brands.
When I was upgrading my old Craftsman set of tools that were nicad and I wanted to go to lithium I heavily research between DeWalt and Milwaukee, I chose Milwaukee because I like the quality build internally with more ball bearings instead of oil light bearings like DeWalt uses. I did this about 6 years ago and I am very happy that I chose Milwaukee. DeWalt does make a great tool but I do think Milwaukee is better. I actually have some Milwaukee reviews years ago. One was their chainsaw
Thanks for the information. I think I will upgrade.@@MotoCheez
How far has it worked out for you have you put any heavy vehicles on their and is there any readjustment needed I mean it's a great bargain at 3000 shipped but sometimes buying cheap equipment scares me especially if you're using it for an automotive shop that's going to be used daily
Only issue I had was I had to tighten the lower hydraulic line a little more, had a tiny leak, the heaviest vehicle I've put on there so far is my 4 door jeep JLU which is no problem.
Ok great good to know keep me updated on how it handles with a heavyweight vehicle and if it's work for you I'm in to purchase it
yah i think arms are backwards from normal assymetric setups but how it holding up?
Holding up awesome, I had someone else comment about the way the arms were but I contacted the manufacturer and they said that that's the way they are supposed to be.
I bought this same lift (red) on Temu, I put in the cart at the site for $2300 and a week later they added a $700 rebate free shipping to my driveway in 7 days. I hope is a good one
Let me know how you make out
NOW YOUR COOKIN WITH GAS,,, YAYYYYYYYYYYYY
Yeszzzzzzz
I’m actually assembling the same lift myself how many pulleys is there supposed to be on the bottom of the lift ram cause im either missing one or 3 pulleys depending on how many there should be? I would definitely appreciate any information
One pulley each side if top bar style
Very nice shop. Next, you need a motocycle work lift. Any viewers in the area of Cheez got a motocycle lift to donate? 😊 You Mom is still in great health and active. That is great! I just got rid of a 5hp 2 stage air compressor with 80 gallon take like a year ago. I would gave it you for the shop. I stumble across stuff like that and get them for free and pass them along to someone who can use it. I will keep my eyes open for anything you could use. You are only 2.5 hours away. Daytrip.
Yes I will definitely need a motorcycle lift, or make something that will work on the arms of this lift. Aw, my compressor that my parents found used at a tag sale it's crapping out and I cannot find any rebuilt parts for it so that would have worked Been awesome. I am in need of a compressor.....
@MotoCheez I will keep an eye out for another one. That one had a stand alone dryer too. Make a small pad behind the shop enclose it and insulate it for sound
@DaVilla1126 I thought about putting it outside, I think I may end up putting it under the lean-to I'm putting off the back of the shop later on. I do not use air tools much anymore but I definitely need it for my plasma cutter
Hey are you able to measure from the floor to the height at which the safety stop hits to stop the lift? My ceiling is 136” and i was going to vault the whole thing but if the safety switch stops it short of my ceiling there really is no benefit to vaulting other than where the posts sit. Please and thank you!
Floor to safety bar stop?
Yeah! The measurement
@jakabmirgai3388 I'm up in CT for a while, I'll have my son measure it in the next day or two
@@MotoCheez awesome thank you!
@jakabmirgai3388 135" floor to stop bar
Get out of Moms way,, she's trying to get that thing done before dark😅😅😅😅
Haha. Yeah, my mom don't play around
Dang Ceeze, your doing a Michael Jackson song on your floor, just beat it.
Was there any extra pieces.
🤣😂
32 is thicker so I think I would use that and warm weather and 46 and cold weather locations
ISO 46 is thicker than ISO 32
congratulations!⛩
Thank you
You put the arms on backwards. The arms should be able to fold overlapped towards the garage doors. It makes it alot easier to place them under the vehicle.
Longer arms go towards back of vehicle. If you push the forward they fold in each other
Are those arms symmetric or asymmetric?
The rear arms are longer than the front
did your lift come with 3 rubber orings if so where did u install them at thanks.
I don't recall any o-rings coming with the lift. How big are they?
@@MotoCheez same size as the ones on the hydraulic lines not sure if they set extras or if they go somewhere
@codydornon8791 hmm. Just had the ones in my video. One to each cylinder and to the pump
@codydornon8791 the rubber o-rings were extra I believe, i had one.
@@MotoCheez so u just put pipe tape on the fittings that went in the cylinders
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
Lol😂
