ASSOS bibs are just so far ahead of any other. It’s amazing how good they are because the rest fo their line is so much the opposite lol! I have a pair of rapha cargo bibs and a bunch of other stuff from Castelli etc. i do love the rapha ones w pockets when its that kind of ride, great bib, but if need the most comfort, best fit… its the ASSOS , every time. The raphas wrinkle and bunch up etc, the ASSOS fit is very pro, not a wrinkle to be seen and the chamois is in a league of its own.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels i have a pair of equipe t-9s, theyre about 7 years old! They still feel better (chamois) and fit better than 1 year old $290 raphas cargo ones, theyre that good. The Raphas are great, better than every other brand ive used so far, but the Assos are just superior in every way.
@@drsus0 that’s amazing feedback to hear. This being my first try with Assos I went with their “lowest end” offering being the Mille GT. But I’m open to try their mid and high end products down the road.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels i can tell you with absolute confidence that no matter what you pay for them, their quality will last long enough to pay for themselves. Mine feel the same as when I bought them while my raphas exhibit the usual (albeit better than others) wear down of the chamois and material stretch.
Great review. I read that these run a little large? I'm usually a medium but their fit finder says to go with a small for my stats? Can you confirm they run a little large?
I bought a pair of the Mille GT but they were really uncomfortable for me and started getting discomfort on sit bones from the 6km mark. Coming from Rapha core range, i never experienced any discomfort with. No doubt the quality is far superior to Rapha but for some reason the chamois on these just dont suit my shape. Is the Equipe range more comfortable than these?
Interesting… The Mille GT has a larger and thicker pad, while the Equipe is a bit smaller and thinner, but a tighter compression fit. Thats strange you wouldn’t find comfort in Mille Line, unless you got the sizing wrong?
@@MitchOnTwoWheels yeah I found it strange too! I'm a small in Rapha and small in the mille. Fit seems to be perfect just something about the padding doesn't work.. I get soreness very quickly on the left sit bone. With the Rapha I can ride 150km no issues. No doubt assos is the higher quality. Thanks for your reply
Looks like great bibs. Any idea how they are size wise compared to other Assos bibs? Was contemplating ordering equipe rs s9 or these. Have researched sizing for equipe and I'm a M in those though it will be a tight fit. If these are much tighter I guess I might have to size up.
The Mille GT line is a more relaxed/normal/traditional fit compared to the Equipe Line. The Equipe line tends to be tighter fitting, some would say smaller than Mille GT.
I bought a pair and they were not comfortable at all. The padding doesn’t extend far up enough in the groin area by the sack and those dimples in the back were killing my under the butt area.
@@MitchOnTwoWheels yes I would like to see them perform in all angles please. I hip thrust a lot when I am out of the saddle too so if you could do some slow mo hip thrusts pls…
Interesting point. I’m a tall rider and have been loving these so far. The legs are maybe an inch short, but I think that’s their shtick…. Oh well. Time will tell :)
I've got 3 pairs of these, using all year round.. super comfy, love them!
So good. You should try the GTO too... It takes these to another level.
Best bibs Ever. Own RS Summer and this one. Both excellent. Tried a dozen brands, only Q36.5 comes close to Assos’s comfort
Awesome feedback 😀

So far I would agree… I’m really enjoying them. What models of Assos have you tried?

They run a little large because they are the relaxed fit... Compared to the Equipe line in a comparable size, they have some more give.
These bibs are a "fancy situation"!
Definitely!

Probably the wrong size…
Can you do a video of you trying them on?
Does slow mo bending work?

No problem. Check my only fans.
no wonder my gels taste like shit... i thought it was just a bad seller on amazon
Not a big ASSOS fan. Esp tall riders fit is not so great. And over long rides not thrilled. All about MAAP.
