Hank Spangler I felt like it had good relevance in terms of quest progression and lore on the special missions (Ace of Spades, Outbreak Quest Step, etc.) but the actual open world map felt way too small.
I did feel small. but there's places all over that look like they'll open eventually, just like Rasputins bunker back in the cosmodrome, especially the big giant entrance thats covered in organic Hive material
Titan is one of my favorite spots. I wish they did more with it. I would love to get lost in the Arcology. Seeing the evacuation signs really adds to the atmosphere. I was poking around while trying to find Savathuns eyes and found one of the heaviest pieces of lore I have ever read. It’s about a ghost’s choice. I don’t want to spoil anything. If you go to the Arcology and follow the path of the Savathun Song strike you find it. Instead of going right where the first shriker would be, take a sharp left just as you enter the area. You’ll find a half open door, stand in front of it and you will find the lore page. Be warned, it’s not a happy read.
If you listen to the dialogue in the Savathün's Song strike, they talk about that bit. When Ghost says "these are all Guardians..." he's talking about the ones trapped in the crystals.
I don't get the memes about Titan in Destiny, it's one of the most loved destinations in the game for me. Everything - designs, vistas, stories. Those massive waves, man... The strike is great (especially in the light of upcoming expansion, which is about Savathun) and the Thorn version of it still gives me vietnam flashbacks to this day. My Titan main will miss Titan, a lot. See you starside, Guardians
Know what's funny? I see more players patrolling on Titan than on the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City combined... maybe it's my region, or it's because of new light players, or people without the expansion, but I'll spot a few people near the Spider, and majority of the time, absolutely no one when loading into Dreaming City... taking all these locations out is a huge mistake, but I believe all of them will be back in a year or so. HDD space has nothing to do with it but their crappy update system does

Savathun's song is one of my favorite strikes, just starting the strike, the music gives the perception that your about to embark on a journey when those people your supposed to find, do not return...of course that's the first time doing the strike and then there's the thorn quest step...

I will never not miss Cayde. Losing him was very much a reason to go on a revenge quest, I'm not dissing Forsaken, but god the Cayde-shaped hole in the dialogue ever since pains me greatly. Least we still got Drifter to make snarky remarks I guess lol
I wonder, if that "Leviathan" will end up taken by the darkness. It already has a fearsome background, if it ended up taken, it'd likely be far more terrifying. I'll miss the Leviathan, and gazing out over the Methane Oceans, nice chill mood when you're not being attacked by the enemies of humanity, that is.
I wholly agree. More than anything I want to explore the forested area we see inside the Arcology. Makes me sad that we're pretty much relegated to the buildings outside.
It's likely that the magic used to bring that Knight back was a smaller-scale ritual (or less powerful version) of the spell that Savathun used on Zulmak. The song with the gravity waves as well resembles the Deathsong, also mentioned in the Inquisition of the Damned. This all ultimately points to Savathun.

Golden Yak I’m pretty sure in Lore (from the collectors addition of Vanilla D2) Callus says the Leviathan was a giant worm, the cabal would worship. There’s concept art of them doing it.

I am curious, do you think Sloane is going to survive the encroaching Darkness? There was an interesting back and forth between Drifter and Eris where Eris seems sure that Sloane will never retreat from Titan, even if it means her sacrifice. Will we be able to convince her to evacuate or will she refuse?

Sure, we have Osiris and Sagira (Speaking of whom, even though we've talked to Osiris a fair bit lately, why haven't we heard Sagira speak at all lately? Did... did something happen to her and I missed it?) who've spent plenty of time in the Infinite Forest and all, but they've only ever been observers to the collective, rather than Asher who's kind of literally connected to them. Bit sad that level of intel wasn't exploited more. ...I have a feeling the reason we won't be seeing him anymore is going to be because of that tether, isn't it? The contact missions have so much important dialog in lore, the other day I was doing contacts on titan and I heard eris and drifter talking about the creature under the waters of titan and other stuff, really interesting dialog
Titan really isn't all that big when compared to Venus and Earth. The main reason why Mercury's so small is because its basically just the left over core of a planet that had most of its outer crust knocked off do to past collisions. Mercury has a huge iron core comprising approximately 85% of the planet’s radius. (Earth’s Iron core, by comparison, is about 25% of the planet’s radius in size.) This means that Mercury’s mantle and crust occupy only the outer 15% or so of the planet’s radius. That's about as thin as the peel on an orange. Mercury is literally more Iron core then it is actual Planet. That is why Mercury is so small. But scientists would later discover that Mercury's iron core is around the same size as the Earths core. This suggests that Mercury was once similar in size to Venus and the Earth before losing most of its outer crust.
Do you think we'll meet the "leviathan of untold strength" in the exodus evacuation quest for titan? Would be a wasted opportunity if we don't find out what or who it is before the location is taken away.
I feel like once these destination gets vaulted aka consumed by Darkness, we may return to them at some point as via Dark Guardians of something, who knows tbh, I love all what's going on on Titan and other destination before Season 11 to Beyond Light and onwards would all come together aka The Witch Queen expansion and Lightfall, I hope Lightfall will explain the Origins of the Light, the Traveler, all the other Travelers, the Darkness and so on, also another factor to them as well, who knows tbh

i didnt even know there was a house of light, just a few days ago i thought it would be cool as hell if there were fallen guardians added and became a selectable species in the character creator because the traveler needed to get everyone it can to help fight against the darkness
Titans fall by the dark really does give better perspective to the lie of the God wave. Really, though in the book of sorrows the sisters thought it was happening as they were delving to the deep but it could have been this gravitational weapon just in their location to confirm their bias
The creature underneath the waves of Titan is likely similar as the one in fundament (old hive home world), guarding something or someone... but we will know more about titan and the "leviathan" underneath its waves when D2 Witch Qween expansion drops. We will return to titan, only to find the large door in solarium opened and gold age buildings covered, with hive corruption thus starting our raid for the witch qween Savathun. (Just cool speculation here, nothing confirmed) I like Titan as a planet and would like it to be utililized in the future, there is alot of untapped potential here.
I have a theory on the Solstice Armor Glows. Each year they evolve with our light. Year 1: It was pretty normal and nothing too special about it. Year 2: It was a little more refined because with Foresaken we got a third tree for each subclass. Year 3: The armor is cracked and the glow(light) is breaking through, showing that we are evolving and breaking out of the thing we know (or we think we know) to reach beyond our light.

Titan is my favourite planet in terms of looks and atmosphere i wish i could explore an open world map of it as big as in the big open world games ^^'...i kinda wish that for most destinations but Titan especially :)
Me too. We've had The Spider as a sort-of ally for a while but he's always been more of the enemy of our enemy than an actual ally. I would love to see some friendly Fallen in upcoming content. Shadowkeep's opening proved we have NPC ally code in the game now so here's hoping.
In the mission with mithraxx ghost scanned one of the terminals and mentioned a......arcology or base way out in the system called hyperion i think it was called....is there any more mentionings about that?

I wished we got a exotic secret quest from Titan like ice breaker in a laboratory guarded by a sea monster at the bottom of the archology then we had to race to get it before the monster collapse the rig kinda like in titanic the levels will change from the water pressure and leaks
I wonder what the Darkness would turn it into. I imagine that it wouldn't really be changed all that much because the Traveler didn't actually touch Titan with the Light. Instead, humanity simply colonized it, par for the course for nature.
There are two types of seabeasts on Titan. There is the smaller, eel like one we can see from the rig which are native to Titan. Then the giant leviathan which we see through the windows inside the domes, and it resembles a worm god. These worms are not exclusively bad, as one was on the hives homeworld and was serving the Traveler, hence why Oryx killed it then fed it to the other leviathans, which served the Deep(darkness). Eris Mourn mentions the leviathan on Titan multiple times, as does Drifter. It is a Worm God I believe, or just another of the species. Drifter mentions when titan was rediscovered after the collapse, many guardians tried to explore it's ocean for lost tech but none came back.

I really think the creature on Titan could possible be an actual Leviathan like talked about in Book of Sorrows. In one of the voice lines after Contact Eris states than an “Leviathan of untold power has made Titan its home”. I never though that thing was anything more than a just giant creature until hearing that.

The leviathan deadass has the same body (given some ridged spines) as Xol. I remember a video Byf did about the leviathan and the worm god came up, looking to be more and more true
I’ve always hated fallen the lest among all other enemies, I think maybe it’s because they’re most like humans, and they also once been chosen by the traveler and then abandoned, so I feel like I can actually relate to them lol
This is something of a shower thought.. But I wonder what would have become of the Krill/Hive if the Traveler had visited them, and they hadn't turned to the power the worms granted them.
Do you have someone editing your vocal audio? Nice clean new setup for sure, but sibilances are still quite dominant, makes it tricky/harsh on the ears on mobile in particular
I’m still hoping that when they do bring back Titan, they bring it back with a raid where you hunt down or fight off the leviathan. I also hope they expand the patrol zone to include the Archology, and expand the Archology for that matter.
I really miss leviathan. It was a really cool location. Hopefully it returns in the future. I mean they brought back the leviathan and... kinda brought back mars (but not really) so theres hope.
6 guardians are capable of invading Crota, Orxy, and Riven realm surrounded by Darkness But 8 f-ing guardians can't handle a group of Hive, but the Fallen could?

I was poking around while trying to find Savathuns eyes and found one of the heaviest pieces of lore I have ever read. It’s about a ghost’s choice. I don’t want to spoil anything. If you go to the Arcology and follow the path of the Savathun Song strike you find it. Instead of going right where the first shriker would be, take a sharp left just as you enter the area. You’ll find a half open door, stand in front of it and you will find the lore page. Be warned, it’s not a happy read.

If you listen to the dialogue in the Savathün's Song strike, they talk about that bit. When Ghost says "these are all Guardians..." he's talking about the ones trapped in the crystals.

I don't get the memes about Titan in Destiny, it's one of the most loved destinations in the game for me. Everything - designs, vistas, stories. Those massive waves, man... The strike is great (especially in the light of upcoming expansion, which is about Savathun) and the Thorn version of it still gives me vietnam flashbacks to this day.

Know what's funny? I see more players patrolling on Titan than on the Tangled Shore and Dreaming City combined... maybe it's my region, or it's because of new light players, or people without the expansion, but I'll spot a few people near the Spider, and majority of the time, absolutely no one when loading into Dreaming City... taking all these locations out is a huge mistake, but I believe all of them will be back in a year or so. HDD space has nothing to do with it but their crappy update system does

@@idealis7547 Shin Malphur had his powers when he met Jaren, and his original Ghost had died during Shin's infancy. Cayde's death was different because the Rifleman was using a bullet from a Thorn, designed to insulate a Guardian from their Light.

Savathun's song is one of my favorite strikes, just starting the strike, the music gives the perception that your about to embark on a journey when those people your supposed to find, do not return...of course that's the first time doing the strike and then there's the thorn quest step...

I wholly agree. More than anything I want to explore the forested area we see inside the Arcology. Makes me sad that we're pretty much relegated to the buildings outside.

It's likely that the magic used to bring that Knight back was a smaller-scale ritual (or less powerful version) of the spell that Savathun used on Zulmak.
The song with the gravity waves as well resembles the Deathsong, also mentioned in the Inquisition of the Damned.
This all ultimately points to Savathun.

Golden Yak I’m pretty sure in Lore (from the collectors addition of Vanilla D2) Callus says the Leviathan was a giant worm, the cabal would worship. There’s concept art of them doing it.

I am curious, do you think Sloane is going to survive the encroaching Darkness? There was an interesting back and forth between Drifter and Eris where Eris seems sure that Sloane will never retreat from Titan, even if it means her sacrifice. Will we be able to convince her to evacuate or will she refuse?

The quest texts for the exotic tier evacuation quest chain makes it clear that with the exception of Ana Bray all other destination NPCs for one reason or another refuses to abandon there destination and stays behind, including Sloane.

Imma highkey Miss Asher tho. Not just for his dialogue but also because he's kind of the only direct "contact" we have to the Vex. Sure, we have Osiris and Sagira (Speaking of whom, even though we've talked to Osiris a fair bit lately, why haven't we heard Sagira speak at all lately? Did... did something happen to her and I missed it?) who've spent plenty of time in the Infinite Forest and all, but they've only ever been observers to the collective, rather than Asher who's kind of literally connected to them. He makes it pretty clear he has some direct awareness of the collective's state during the Io world quest, for example. Bit sad that level of intel wasn't exploited more.
...I have a feeling the reason we won't be seeing him anymore is going to be because of that tether, isn't it? Yeesh, that's gonna be gruesome if we have to witness that.

Titan really isn't all that big when compared to Venus and Earth. The main reason why Mercury's so small is because its basically just the left over core of a planet that had most of its outer crust knocked off do to past collisions.
Mercury has a huge iron core comprising approximately 85% of the planet’s radius. (Earth’s Iron core, by comparison, is about 25% of the planet’s radius in size.) This means that Mercury’s mantle and crust occupy only the outer 15% or so of the planet’s radius. That's about as thin as the peel on an orange.
Mercury is literally more Iron core then it is actual Planet. That is why Mercury is so small. But scientists would later discover that Mercury's iron core is around the same size as the Earths core. This suggests that Mercury was once similar in size to Venus and the Earth before losing most of its outer crust.

Titans fall by the dark really does give better perspective to the lie of the God wave. Really, though in the book of sorrows the sisters thought it was happening as they were delving to the deep but it could have been this gravitational weapon just in their location to confirm their bias

The creature underneath the waves of Titan is likely similar as the one in fundament (old hive home world), guarding something or someone... but we will know more about titan and the "leviathan" underneath its waves when D2 Witch Qween expansion drops. We will return to titan, only to find the large door in solarium opened and gold age buildings covered, with hive corruption thus starting our raid for the witch qween Savathun. (Just cool speculation here, nothing confirmed)
I like Titan as a planet and would like it to be utililized in the future, there is alot of untapped potential here.
With our possible return to Titan in the coming Season of the Deep, I'm hopeful that its similar to our return to Calus' Leviathan.

I have a theory on the Solstice Armor Glows. Each year they evolve with our light. Year 1: It was pretty normal and nothing too special about it. Year 2: It was a little more refined because with Foresaken we got a third tree for each subclass. Year 3: The armor is cracked and the glow(light) is breaking through, showing that we are evolving and breaking out of the thing we know (or we think we know) to reach beyond our light.
I don't play D2 anymore but i loved Titan. Awesome location and stories!

Titan is my favourite planet in terms of looks and atmosphere i wish i could explore an open world map of it as big as in the big open world games ^^'...i kinda wish that for most destinations but Titan especially :)

Me too. We've had The Spider as a sort-of ally for a while but he's always been more of the enemy of our enemy than an actual ally. I would love to see some friendly Fallen in upcoming content. Shadowkeep's opening proved we have NPC ally code in the game now so here's hoping.
TAmari spider is the neutral, Mithrax is the good and Eramis is the bad. So who knows?

In the mission with mithraxx ghost scanned one of the terminals and mentioned a......arcology or base way out in the system called hyperion i think it was called....is there any more mentionings about that?

I wished we got a exotic secret quest from Titan like ice breaker in a laboratory guarded by a sea monster at the bottom of the archology then we had to race to get it before the monster collapse the rig kinda like in titanic the levels will change from the water pressure and leaks

I wonder what the Darkness would turn it into. I imagine that it wouldn't really be changed all that much because the Traveler didn't actually touch Titan with the Light. Instead, humanity simply colonized it, par for the course for nature.
There are two types of seabeasts on Titan. There is the smaller, eel like one we can see from the rig which are native to Titan. Then the giant leviathan which we see through the windows inside the domes, and it resembles a worm god. These worms are not exclusively bad, as one was on the hives homeworld and was serving the Traveler, hence why Oryx killed it then fed it to the other leviathans, which served the Deep(darkness).
Eris Mourn mentions the leviathan on Titan multiple times, as does Drifter. It is a Worm God I believe, or just another of the species. Drifter mentions when titan was rediscovered after the collapse, many guardians tried to explore it's ocean for lost tech but none came back.
Titan is my favorite location in Destiny 2, I’m gonna miss it.

I'd love a Fallen redemption arc. How can Humanity put faith in the Traveller when fighting a race of people who it wholesale discarded? Are there not those worthy in their ranks? Is it just to punish them for the sins of others?
I really think the creature on Titan could possible be an actual Leviathan like talked about in Book of Sorrows. In one of the voice lines after Contact Eris states than an “Leviathan of untold power has made Titan its home”. I never though that thing was anything more than a just giant creature until hearing that.

I’ve always hated fallen the lest among all other enemies, I think maybe it’s because they’re most like humans, and they also once been chosen by the traveler and then abandoned, so I feel like I can actually relate to them lol

Do you have someone editing your vocal audio? Nice clean new setup for sure, but sibilances are still quite dominant, makes it tricky/harsh on the ears on mobile in particular
I’m still hoping that when they do bring back Titan, they bring it back with a raid where you hunt down or fight off the leviathan. I also hope they expand the patrol zone to include the Archology, and expand the Archology for that matter.

I really miss leviathan. It was a really cool location. Hopefully it returns in the future. I mean they brought back the leviathan and... kinda brought back mars (but not really) so theres hope.
