I enjoyed watching this and hearing the Portuguese, which I speak. Interesting about the oven vs cooking in the stove top conversation. I was wondering the same as to why in the oven vs stovetop. Your mom’s explanation of it being easier and now you have time to do other things makes a lot of sense.

Hi Tevin. I'm sure you can, never tried with slow cooker. It may be that there would be a lot of juices from the lard. You would need to remove some of the liquid.😊
