Great hunt I really love how you zoom in on the rabbit so you can actually see what you are shooting at and that is where most hunting channels go wrong

Bro......I've never seen someone waste so many shells, those rabbits must be FULL of shot. Here in Canada, we use .22 or for the older folks a 410. Lots of rabbits there tho

You’re pretty darn good at this! It’s never occurred to me to use a shotgun! I’ve grown up hunting jack rabbits here in Utah, but we’ve always used our .22s, taking my 14 year old daughter out on Tuesday to hunt them with her new .22 rifle.

Shotguns are avoided by some people because of the amount of lead you’re putting into the meat, plus you could bite down on one of the shots if you miss one. It’s down to preference but IMO .22 is a safe bet

@@HalfInsaneOutdoorGuy that is true. It’s more of a personal preference thing. I’d personally prefer a .22, but that doesn’t mean everyone does and that’s okay!

contemplating cost efficiency for hunting in terms of variability, but i think if i were to go for small game, .22 looks more appealing, but shotgun is the most versatile one of the bunch for both small, big, and waterfowl

Good job! I wish we had that many rabbits up where I am. The lack of them isn't keeping me from looking for a decent 20gauge autoloader with 24 inch barrel to pursue the wascally beasts. Wondering what gun you are shooting in this video and if you have a recommendation for what I am looking for under 500 bucks?
Also, yeah man. All 6 of the rabbits flushed up so far this year ran behind my buddy and I. It's becoming more of a dislike for the rabbit than a love for the hunt lol.

Just posted a new video! I’m using the Remington 1187 sportsman 20g I love it when it functions properly! Connecting with a couple rabbits it’s just a bonus for me, enjoying the hunt is what it’s all about!
We rabbit hunt a lot here in WV, I use a 12G for rabbits, it’s a lot of fun, easy to shoot.

The gun smith I talked to said he works on a lot of them! Poor quality control at Remington was his explanation on the problems.

I use pellet gun to hunt rabbits but my dad might buy me a 22 LR.

Just moved to the Lansing area in September. Got a good young beagle and looking for good rabbit hunting land. Would be happy to hunt with you if you want to work with a good dog and you’re not too far away.

I just got a rabbit with 7 1/2 birdshot. It works well and its alot of fun, but theres way too many pellets. I'll stick with 22 and cci quiet.

Can anyone tell me how and where you can consistently look and find rabbits? I have tried hunting them but I can never seem to find them in a ravine/forest near my house or in piles of brush.
Some areas don’t have a rabbit population anymore unfortunately.

Thank you!! Always be ready! There is so many times I’ve jumped a rabbit and I’m just not ready for it lol. Takes a few times out to figure out just how fast you need to be.
If there running make sure you give them some lead but if you hunt i assume you already know but still just incase you didnt

Finding a good property has been tough. I’ve checked a few state land spots and haven’t seen many signs of rabbit. Where have you hunted?

expensive rabbit shoot, shells being spewed out, if i couldnt use my field craft to get close and shoot them with a .22 15.89gr air rifle pellet ,id give up
These 20g shells I bought in 100rnd boxes for 21.99 a couple years ago. Luckily I bought a few so not too worried about the expense . Thanks for watching!

Rabbits are innocent little animals who literally did nothing to us, ‘oh but their so fun to hunt’ well that’s what lions and tigers would say to us. U need food? Then get something else. U like hunting? Well hunt something else! These things are all fixable and I can understand if you were to hunt something that did something to u but literally they did nothing! Rabbits are poor little animals that just want to live, too see their little ones grow, to experience life! And you monsters are ruining it. Yes I said monster and I have no regrets on that. Idc if u didn’t experience anything like this but just imagine... you open your eyes for the first time in your life and what do you see? A big human with an axe about to chop your moms head off, your dads dead body and you hanging from a hook. Animals have feelings too, they’re living just like us, we’re the same. What I mean is what if YOU WERE HELD HOSTAGE ONLY TO FIND THAT YOUR GONNA DIE, WHAT IF YOU NEVER GOT TO EXPERIENCE LIFE, WHAT IF YOU WERE INNOCENT AND YET STILL HAVE TO PAY!?! YOU HAD TO DIE JUST SO A “HUMAN” COULD MAKE A FEW DOLLARS, IS MONEY REALLY WORTH A LIFE? IF ITS NOT WORTH YOUR LIFE, THEN ITS NOT WORTH THEIRS. Look, I know this might be a little aggressive, and I’m sorry, but what your doing is not right. I’m trying to stick up for someone’s life, or many lives for that matter. I know I’m only 10 and I still have a lot more in life to experience, so I may not be the wisest, and I may not be the best, but I have the purest of heart and hope you understand.
