Are you talking about a fixed blade filet knife? I just can’t see doing 15-30 a day with a fixed blade. This time of year we will catch a bunch and that would be time consuming doing it all with a fixed blade. Where an electric you can go really fast.
Bought one….was like $180. Used it on 1 Crappie, put it away, charged battery….Not impressed at all. My round handle, standard meat slicing Hamilton Beach plug-in version I got at Goodwill for $4 will walk circles around this high dollar Bubba thing. And of course I’m use to older style blade designs. The Bubba’s not bad…it’s just slow. The best way I found “For Me” to use it is to use Bubba to bust through the ribs then once I flip the fillet to remove the meat I use my manual fillet knife like my rubber handle Rapala to slip that fillet off body. Should have looked at a bunch of reviews first before pulling the trigger on this Bubba one.
Ya I didn’t pay that much for mine luckily I got it on sale. So far I really can’t complain about it. I would like to test it against the Rapala though. Thanks for watching and commenting.
Looking at these (obviously)... Thanks for the honest "for you" comments. More folks need to be more forthcoming with what "they" honestly think vice saying what folks might want to hear. (And I'm not saying J&H's Adventures did anything of the sort)
I find that they just seem too slow. My fishing partner uses the bubba on walleye. I can paint two walls and watch them dry before he makes his way through a 26”er. I prefer a sharp, fixed blade fillet knife.
What ever works best for you is what you need to use. If you are comfortable with a fixed fillet knife it’s best to stay with what is most comfortable for you. Thanks for watching!
They do a great job for us I’m sure you can get a small fillet knife and do each one but we get the main cut of meat. You do 30 a day you’re not gonna spend hours cleaning them with a little fillet knife.
i mean if you're really slow, i get it, but honestly manual knifes, knowing what you're doing will always be the best.

Thanks sorry this comment just popped up. Hope you got you one to try.

Fixed blade is good to. Sometimes I feel like you can save a little more meat using a fixed.
Personally I’ll stick with a regular knife. I have an electric knife for turkey always go back to my standard knives

Lot of waste
Thanks for watching we appreciate it!
Knife is good except the trigger...that thing isn't right at all. Hurts my finger
Is it the guard that bothers you?
I agree. Trigger takes a lot of pressure to hold. Finger tires out if doing a lot of filleting.
Looks like it leaves a lot of meat on the bone .

Thing is junk
