I think you nailed it when you said that knife would be good for chopping up a big tuna. But for little fish it looks like a disaster. I'd be afraid of losing too much meat to cut up trout or redfish with it, and it would destroy a flounder.
So true this thing would work great on a massive catfish tuna something with size, But I think it would also work on smaller fish it's more with my bad fillet skills!

i like the do that cut near the head and then start at the tail end after that, give that a try next time and see how you get one
