Special Transport Lines for participants of the Coldplay Concert

🇺🇲🇬🇧 Spectators who will attend the Coldplay Concert, scheduled for June 12 and 13, 2024 at the National Arena, will have at their disposal two special public transport lines, which will ensure the connection between the stadium and the center of the Capital and which will be operated with electric vehicles, non-polluting, purchased by the Bucharest City Hall through European funds.
During the concert, the Intercommunity Development Association for Public Transport Bucharest - Ilfov (PTBI) will establish Bus Line 700 - which will ensure the connection between Unirii Square and National Arena - and Trolleybus Line 87, which will operate on the National Arena - Romana Square.
Bus Line 700, on which ZTE Granton 12m electric buses will run at 10-minute intervals, will operate between 4:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.-12:30 a.m. on the route: Unirii Square, Unirii Blvd., Alba Iulia Square, Decebal Blvd., Mihai Bravu Avenue, Vatra Luminosa Street, Tony Bulandra Street, returning to the Vatra Luminoasă Depot. The buses will stop at the stations: "I. C. Brătianu' Blvd.' (in both directions), located on Unirii Blvd. in the Unirea Shopping Center store area, respectively "Unirii Square 4", "Unirii Square 1" and "Unirii Square 2", located in Unirii Square, as well as in the area of "National Arena". The last departure from Unirii Square to the National Arena will be at 20:30, and the last departure from the National Arena to Unirii Square will be at 00:30.
Trolleybus Line 87, which will be operated with autonomous Solaris Trollino 12m IV Medcom Trolleybuses, which will run at 10-minute intervals, will operate between 4:00 p.m.-8:30 p.m. and 10:45 p.m.-12:30 a.m. on the route: Romană Square, Dacia Blvd., Traian Street, Iancu Cavaler de Flondor Street, Pache Protopopescu Blvd., Matei Voievod Street, Vatra Luminoasă Street, Tony Bulandra Street, returning to the Vatra Luminoasă Depot. The trolleybuses will stop at all the stations of Line 86 on the common section of the route. The last departure from Romană Square to the National Arena will be at 20:30, and the last departure from the National Arena to Romană Square will be at 00:30.
At the same time, PTBI also decided that, on June 12 and 13, in the time interval 16:00-20:30 and 22:45-00:30, the vehicle park of Line 90 will be supplemented, the trolleybuses will arrive at the stations during this period at an interval of 10 minutes. In addition, the schedule of Line 90 will be extended, the last departure from the National Arena area to Semănătoarea will take place at 00:30.
Also, the vehicle park of the Night Lines N1 and N10 will be supplemented, the buses (which will be of the hybrid type) will run at an interval of 10 minutes between 22:30 and 00:30. At the arrival, the transportation of the spectators will be provided on the middle ring (Mihai Bravu Avenue) and by the Tram Lines 1 and 10 which are scheduled to operate at an interval of 6-8 minutes.
