Voicemeter works great! I usually don't recommend it to people as it can be confusing and mess up audio drivers but if you get it working correctly it is awesome!
I have the nw-7000 and it's a great mic with a few tweak's this mic is very good. Tip do not plug in the mic in the front of your desktop 3.5m jack it will give you interface (noise)
Got the NW-800 ("The Golden Microphone") which is like a couple of models up. Came with about the same equipment. Definitely go for getting a XLR to USB adapter. Although, I do wonder if digital mixing software will suffice.

I hope you've resolved your problem, but if you haven't, your laptop may have a 3.5mm TRRS jack, while the cable that comes with the kit is a 3.5mm TRS male end. This is very important because your laptop will not recognize the 3.5mm male end because it is physically different than what it recognizes. You will need a TRS to TRRS adapter. These can be purchased for under $10 shipped. Hope this solves your connection issue. Here is a link to one. Yeah you can, if you are using it on a ps4 and if you use a gaming headset, make sure you plug in the gaming headset into the controller first and mute the mic on that headset if it has physical mute button,ticking all the live recording setting boxes within the ps4 settings. Like I said, if you have a headset the mic must have a mute switch. Otherwise you won't be able to have a headset while recording with the mic. This is based on using an original ps4 system.

I would think so, the nw800 is a fre models up if you have money to do that, other wise this will be fine. Get audacity and play with the properties then watch your twitch stream to triple check what you want your audience to hear
I used the pc settings and set the levels that are recommended on the amazon products page, I did try different settings but it did make background noise noticeable, so I reverted back to the initial settings suggested when setting up the mic, the mic will pick up noise around you when up close but shouldn't pick up people in the next room,or outside noise etc.
@@justtwitchclips5020 yeah i know, it was a real problem, in the video i set it to it best level, you do still get that ssssss noice, i do think the rest of the kit for the money is good because each item sold separately is slightly more expensive, so maybe a better Mic is needed, i now use a plug and play USB Mic with the microphone stand.
Try using sound card, and try replacing a new XLR cables, sometimes the one that came with it is not fine. Also check or make sure all your inputs are showing in the sound manager/drive in the pc/mac. If it is not showing, it might be due to the cables.

JUst downloaded Audacity but cannot locate the SW-700 on the drop down menu. What am I doing wrong? The kit came with a white box that says "E-10." I plugged the cables into it and into my USB port on my PC. So far, I have not been able to locate the microphone on Audacity.

i would buy a mixer with XLR ports or an external sound card for this nw-700 it will help get better pick-up. if you buy the usb version, its plug and play and sounds so much better then the basic Neewer XLR models
I plugged everything into my docking station, and it is not recognized But I cannot get any audio output when it is connected to the docking station and powered up. I turn it off. I can hear audio again on my monitor speakers. It powers on but does not show up in settings. I am connecting to a Dell XPS 700 which only has USB-C connections, and I must use a docking station for all connections since there is no 3.5mm jack or USB-A connections. Someone said I need to buy an XLR audio interface. The one he recommended is about $200 dollars.

it could be the realtek audio driver blocking it, try to uninstall it and use main laptop driver. see if that is the problem. @@micheldufenberg4745 goto the start bar and locate the little speaker icon, hover the cursor over it and a little menu should appear, right click the sound option and a audio window should pop up with (playback/recording/sounds/communications) click Recording tab and you should see a list of mics to choose from. Right click the one that appears tobe the studio mic, enable it and click OK at the bottom of that same pop up window.
This mic kit + Voicemeter Banana is a great solution for a budget setup.

I think for better quality I think it's best, iv got one built in to my laptop so the quality is exactly how it sounds in the video recording.

I would go for the nw-8000 and add a sound card mixer, it will help provide a much clearer voice recording.

Late but it's from the 3.5mm jack on the PC's motherboard. This mic produces no audible hiss when used in a proper xlr-xlr setup with an interface
