thank you friend
You're a legend. 🙌
What I like the most is how voicemeeter enhanced the audio quality of a cheap condenser mic. I think voicemeeter is excellent in transforming low quality audio into a more professional quality. I also have tried a sound enhancer on my PC called Breakaway, and it's just sounds amazing. I'm fond of processing audio on PC. Thanks for this video, it's very informative! I'm learning a lot from contents like this. Thanks sir! 👍
This is an educational bro.
You are guiding consumers about proper audio setup.
Keep it up bro.
finally, out of all the reviews I've watched this one is the most detailed, other videos that I've watched is more on being with super extravagant positive reviews, thank you so much bro and goodluck sa twitch! subbed! you deserve much much more bro
I'm so glad to have found this video before purchasing the BM800 with the V8 soundcard! Such a life saver. Thank you so much for creating a series of video about it. It really helped me decide what I should buy depending on my sound/audio preference.
eyyyyyyyy may i know what did you purchased as an alternative to the set you can buy easily online?
can i know what you purchase after watch this video?
now i understand the "hiss" ur talking about... the difference is identical... good job!
Timing of this was wild, literally just ordered both on 11.11 and skipped on the V8 cause of your videos. Keep up the great content!
Same, I just ordered a BM800 without the V8 Sound Card after watching his previous video.
just got it on 11.11 for just 484 pesos, i guess its a steal to me, buying behringer um2 or umc22 soon.
@@bruhlollmao560 I got mine last 11.11 for P318. BM-800 set with no card and phantom power.

شكراً لك !
Great how you explain all the things that matter and showing the side-by-side comparisons in a short and informative video. Most other channels upload long, drawn-out word soup of a video just to reach the 10 minute mark which should only really take 5 minutes to show/explain.
Not sure if its just me or did anyone else notice a "grounding sound" when Norcla tested the BM-800 + Phantom Power + Voicemeeter + Plugged directly to the PC? It was quite irksome in a way. But over all... This is another great vid! Very concise indeed. Cheers!
Yeah there is a ground... Software should not add any hiss or external sound!
YUUUP. It was horrible. Felt like my earphones were gonna blow up lol
why arent all youtube videos like this, straight to the point!
When i record in bm 800 mic its sound too distorting n so horrible how can i fix it
Perfect timing. I was having second thoughts about the BM800 if I should get it with the phantom power or not. This video helped a lot for making my decision.♥️
Did you use an xlr to 3.5 or xlr to usb for the phantom power po?
Thank youuu! Pabili nako ng v8 tapos nakita ko ung isang video mo na nono ang v8 then naghanap pako ng ibang vids mo at napunta ako dito. Thank youuuu!
This guy is a genius, I really don't understand the world. We give more important glamorous creators instead of content creators who makes really useful contents.
For some reason, I see AJ Rafael in you. Haha. Helpful stuff, bro!
I really wish I have watch this video before Buying The Sound card
Just sell it on facebook marketplace na lang para hindi sayang hahaha
for me it came with the mic itself
Me too:(((
@@Porshiii you can still use the phantom power
This trash doesn't work.
Quite thorough info & equally scientific explanation-exactly what I needed. Thanks Norcla!

That was a pretty good initial explanation about difference between dynamic and condenser mics! Nice start to the video! Now about the mics: The BM800 sounds awful, strident, nasal. IMHO the letters "BM" mean the same thing they did when I was three years old. Second, the BM800 is dangerous because there are two different versions with exactly the same model number and appearance. One version is unbalanced and uses 5 volt "plug in power" like you would get from the mic input on a PC. The other version is balanced and uses 48 volt phantom power like you'd get from a sound board or some interfaces. The danger is that if you have the 5 volt version and connect it to a 48 volt phantom power supply you will blow the mic. (Actually that's a good outcome, it will force you to go out and hopefully get a better mic.) In conclusion, anybody thinking about a BM800 needs to be very aware of which version it is, what cable it comes with, etc. or you might just throw your money away.
it's christmas today good thing na super metikoloso ako sa bibilhin kong gamit in terms of quality. ano pang tyaga ng ipon at hardwork kung makakabili ako ng below level of my expectations. i am a beginner musician and may napamaskuhan ako today sobrang eager ko na makabili kahit BM800 lang kasi yun lang ang kaya ng budget. gusto ko na magsimula thru covers since pandemic and i didn't go to online classes it's a waste of time i'd rather do what makes me happy while chilling.
thank god i found your review it's a BIG HELP! thank you as well! merry xmas ❤
I almost bought a stupidly expensive soundcard for a mid mic, thank you for this.
🤣🤣 buti nalang talaga nagsearch muna ako bago bumili ng v8soundcard
..thanks norcla💪🥰🥰🥰
I ordered it your video actually helped me thanks
Thanks for the kind words!
hi, thanks for making it clear for beginners. I ordered v8 but after watching ur reviewer I canceled it. I will get the phantom soon for my project.
Did you end up getting sound card?
When you're saying straight to PC do you mean with USB sound card which comes together or just jack 3.5 pin to your computer?

Bruh just wanted to say you saved me from tearing my hair out from hours of stress with your bm800 and Voice Meeter tutorial. Just wanted to ask what your recommended phantom power is?
But dude i just bought a bm 800 and that phantom power....its better without phantom power....if i use the phantom...the sound was really bad...so im using bm800 without phantom

Thanks bro. I almost bought the V8 😅. You gained a subscriber
You're welcome! Glad you saved your money
Bro pls help me🙏🙏🙏
I've also the bm800 mic, but whenever I record something it capture so much noise from the background... Also I set the mic gain to only 30-40 to get less noise but still getting so much noise... Even there is no difference after using phantom power....Now what should I do?
oh finally this dude again xD
great video
Its such a good starting mic as when you save up enough you can get a cheap but good audio Interface like The Behringer UM2 then when you save up more can upgrade to a new mic
Hi, will this still work if I use a full-sized audio jack that is connected to a soundcard?
No, you can't send phantom power through a balanced TRS(which im assuming you mean) connection, only over XLR connections.
Sidenote do not attempt sending 48v through xlr to mini audio jack I've seen a phone get fried, lol.
Hey bro, so when you were using the BM800+Phantom Power and voice meter at +70DB, +10Boost, at 3:14 there was a BVVVV background noise, is there anyway to remove that noise and what is the cause of that noise?
WOW MONITIZED HEHEEH madamkat chefben here,,, congrats...
Thank you :)
you got me mate....awesome tips....u do rock your explanation....!!!!!..very informative indeed...definitely will take your advise!
Binging at the moment on your videos regarding the BM800
Good day Mr. Norcla I notice that BM800 + Phantom power are the outstanding of them all. I just want to ask your opinion for what is worth. Because I'm planning to buy BM800 and Plextone GS3 or BM800 and Phantom power. So I want to know your opinion, what is better between the 2 Options?
Woah! Plugging in straight to the pc with post processing without phantom power !. Is Impressive
I have a question, my phantom power is working wbut when I use discord, messenger the phantom power is disabled or my mic volume will be lowered.
how about combined phantom power and v8 soundcard with bm800? can u give your opinion? i really want the answer
I have a BM800 with a white USB sound card ealier, the sound card was faulty and I get a V8 sound card as replacement. I found that my mouth have to be very close to the mic in order to capture a good voice, while if 1 feet away from the mic, the voice very low if compare to the USB sound card earlier. I wonder if I get a phamtom power will helps?
I was just wondering, why did u add +20 boost on raw and only +10 boost on processed audio? Does that produces better audio or u just personally added less when using VoiceMeeter?
Hey norcla your very good streamer huh u tolding me what will i do happy 2k sub
Yes my son ty
@norcla Hello, I have a bm-800 and I ordered a phantom power. I don't have anything else, is it safe to power the mic from phantom power in input and use the mic 3.5mm directly to my PC without sound card? will it damage my computer with 45v?
For singing purpose, do you suggest BM800 with phantom power?
Since some karaoke apps like Starmaker only uses mobile and tablets, will I be able to use the phantom power and just use a headphone and microphone splitter to record cover songs? Im thinking of buying these 2 only..not a soundcard.
You are awesome, thanks!!!
Recommend me good for acoustic fingerstyle covers
dope video..i dont know but watching you i got some harris heller vibe there..keep up doin good work!!!

Hello, just wanna ask something about norcla's review of the BM800 microphone.
Do i need the phantom power to supply the microphone sufficient power or i can just plug it in to my computers motherboard and be done with it? Thanks
Anlinis pakinggan. Galing
Hi @Norcla,
I just bought BM800 to play karaoke. I have LG-OK55 Karaoke System. When I plug BM800 into my PC, it works but with a high latency. If I plug BM800 directly into LG-OK55, it doesn't work at all. Do you think BM800 can work on LG-OK55 if I put a phantom power ? Thanks in advance
To confirm you use XLR to XLR Cable to Phantom Power and XLR to Mic Jack to PC I want to set up my BM 800 professionally
Here again! Thanks for the examples man. Really appreciate the fine work! What phantom power would you recommend me grabbing? :D
Sorry for late reply! The phantom power is a generic product... Pick the one with the best reviews!
@@NORCLA does the condenser mic will not work on pc without phantom power? It shows on recording control panel but it won't capture any sounds
i just bought a 250$ jts js1 with a umc22 is that enough for me to get a high audio quality ?
Hi Norcla! Are you aware of the issue with Voicemeeter and Discord? Apparently, with Voicemeeter, your voice in Discord would crackle and would sound robotic. I've been watching some tutorials on how to fix them but to no avail. I was wondering if you have experienced the same. Also, do you think it's okay to not use Voicemeeter anymore when I get a GoXLR mixer? Thank you! Great vid as always!
nice review, appreciate it a lot
Can we use only phantom power and bm800 withoud sound card
I really like what the mic sounded like at 2:55 can u please make a video on how u made it sound like that?
Please check out my BM800 guide!
@@NORCLA Thank you
im excited to get it
Lets say i get the BM800 + Phantom Power and the 3.5mm from the Phantom plugs into a Amp/Dac to my pc alongside my headphones will that be ok?
Yes, in a way. If your cable quality is terrible then it will likely result in noise. Take note that super expensive cables also do not improve quality that much. Also make sure not to run your cables along powerstrips/sockets/power cables because that will introduce interference.
Thanks for the video
A condenser mic has to face your mouth …
question, is it necessary to have a sound card for it to work or can i just directly plug it into my pc?
Im not sure what it is, but i listened to phantom power raw and phantom power + voicemeter postprocessing several times now. Without the postprocessing i pick up a slight humming sound in the video but with the postprocessing that humming sound is a lot louder. So it seem that the phantom power perhaps is adding a humming sound? Cause when i listen to the parts with no phantom power the humming sound is not present.
So i am a bit confused right now. Im waiting for my phantom power to be delivered in a few days so i can test this out for myself. Thanks for your videos, it is so hard to find any BM-800 videos in english.
How is the noise cancellation? I make contents with kids playing at the back. I need something that will not pick up mich of those noises on a budget.
What about recording from a smartphone? Does it work as well? I have a condenser mic(not BM800) and an audio splitter already. Still thinking if I could use the phantom power to fully utilize the recording experience
I suggest getting pc or high quality laptop
Paano po paganahin ang microphone sa windows 10 di ko magamit sa obs.thanks and GS
What's your opinion on cheap gaming mic like the redragon gm100.
If you buy the phantom power, please buy an xlr male to xlr female cable. Because I found out the hard way that they don't include the cable in box 😅
I have bm-800 with v8 and it wont detect my voice, do I need phantom power to have it work?
I have both actually. But can i connect the phantom power to v8 to pc?
Thank you for your sharing video
Question: can it stack with Teyun Q12 audio interface?
thankyou so much sir!❤
Do you think i could use this combo for like song recording? Im planning to record on fl studio btw
Why is it your BM 800 straight to pc sounds clean? No hissing/buzzing sounds?
Hi. Thanks for the nice review. I just wanna know if do I have to buy a v8 if I want to do live and connect it in to phone and laptop? Or would that be fine if bm800+ panthom power?
Straight to PC + Voicemeter postprocessing the best
What mic did you use like the mic on wish1075
When I plug my moano AU a03 in my mobile phone (without phantom or soundcard ) it has crystal clear audio but when I plug it into my pc it has noise do you know what could be the cause and and how can I prevent it ? It sound like white noise
Why does your BM800 not have any background noise or that humming ssssssssssssssssss sound in the background?
Please answer the above because I swear there was a video you put up that convinced me you don't need phantom power and when I got my Mic all I could hear was that damnable hissing
I have problem with my phantom power. Everytime i connect my bm800 with phantom power to pc, when i turned it on, the mic volume did boost but after few seconds the volume drop drastically until there's nothing can be heard. How to fix this?
How to listen voice with no delay? Without using any audio interface. Im using condenser mic with 3.5mm jack and built in usb cable to powered it. Thank you.
🙏 thank you❤️❤️❤️❤️
Hi, new sub here. I have Bm800, im planning to replace it with not that expensive but more decent mic.. is dynamic mic like shure SM58 better for untreated room or should I stick with condenser mics like AT2020 or rode NT1?
I got my BM800 (without phantom power) going through Voicemeeter and all filters enabled in OBS(I watched your tutorial) but still have that hissing noise whenever I speak. How can I get rid of it? Also will phantom power eliminate that hissing or just amplify it? Dunno man. I'm just about ready to purchase a phantom power.
@Dieselnut78 I got mine sorted with Nvidia broadcast and some plugins in streamlabs obs
i got exact same mic but idk why my mic is catching electric sounds how can i fix it
Hi what can you reccomend best used for videoke?
