I had absolutely amazing time with all the guys working on this project, and thank you making us all part of this journey. You stand true to being humble and hard working - cheers, thank you for all the learning.
Absolutely amazing! Gives me This Old House and New Yankee Workshop vibes. Remember sitting on the couch watches those guys all the time and thinking how cool that must be to be able to build stuff! Wood work of any kind has always been a huge love of mine to watch! No one I knew did it or really had those tools, so I never got to build so much as a birdhouse growing up. All that to say I love when your videos drop, and they really do inspire me to craft things in the garage. Was able to finally learn a little from all these youtube videos ppl like you make and was able to actually build my first grandson's crib a couple years back and am about to start on another one for my other daughter. Such a wonderful hobby especially when you hope something you make might be in a great grandchild's home one day for their kid! Take care bud!
I just realized Christopher that Rob was there helping you wow that’s amazing Rob. You’re awesome. You guys are just so amazing. I love I love you both.!!!❤🙏
14:50 in Poland this tradition (and the thing) is called "Wiecha" (generally a word meaning a bunch of flowers, herbs and so on). Sometimes it is substituted for (or accompanied by) a symbol of carpentry insignia: saw and hammer.
What type of joint was used to connect the truss to the top of the wall? Mortise and tenon? I would love to attend your class but it a carpenter and don’t have much time off. Have a great day
I am interested in building a timber frame house in the next year. I have a sawmill and I’ll cut my own timber. I just need a contractor and crew to cut and erect the building. Can yall do that? Or do you know of a crew? I’m in North GA
Now you just need to cover it in OSB and PU foam and leave it to rot like a certain other shelter institute collab 😅 Nah, this is great work, i look forward to seeing what you do with it!
I know there is a bunch of controversy with them. Not sure the whole story but definitely not letting this sit and rot. It’s a TON of work but chipping away every day!

Christopher, this is amazing. I am in awe of you and so proud and I feel blessed to be able to say you’re my nephew. I love you so much.!!!❤
Thanks for a new video. Must be very grateful to do a project like this with a bunch of people eager to learn something. Take care!

I love the Persuader. Looks like something from a cartoon or video game. This is going to be a beautiful home.
Amazing Chris! Did you ever think this is where woodworking was going to take you when you started in your garage? Can’t wait to see it finished!
Super nice work here!
Wow... The construction is looking fantastic, Chris! 😮

This would be a dream! Would love to come all the way from Scotland ❤😊
THANKS FOR ANOTHER GREAT VIDEO
That hammer is at least half as cool as that whole house.
Dream house

The engineers require large structural GRK screws to secure the truss the the rafter plate.

curious why didn't you drill your peg holes before your dry fit. and draw bore?
How are bents secured to subfloor?
Looks like a blast! Did you get to use any of the timbers you had them cut on the mill, or do those need to dry for a future course?
We used them as giant saw horses to work on.

Dang I'm out here (a beginner) and it's humbling to see people cut tighter joinery for a house frame than my workbench
It’s a lifelong journey man. Every starts out the same. Keep working at it and don’t beat yourself up! You got it ✊
Out of curiosity, is this a customer house that the students are helping you build?
No this is my home
akhirnya
Wow
I usually love watching your videos, the head camera is just too hard to watch.
Yea I knew it would be tough for some people but it was the best I could do on this.
