In my experience with airsoft, these flip-outs are not nearly as common as these videos make it seem. There is a bit of an issue with people not calling their hits, but also not as common as you’d might think. At my local field I have yet to see a player blatantly not call their hits. There is some times where it hits your gear, and you don’t feel it, and also may not hear it, which I believe is where a good bit of the “cheaters” come from. As for a solution to the cheaters, in my experience it’s most often caused by either lack of staff, or poor quality staff that either don’t pay attention, or don’t care

My little brother took it like the Chad he was at 10 years old. That being said 99% of the players aren't dickheads about it, but there's a minority that want to make others mad or see them in pain.

The kid that originally uploaded it was the one that tried to light up the field owner, then got roasted by the entire internet so hard he sold all his stuff and quit airsoft.

Establish a baseline about rules and what is expected and follow up with appropriate action. Explain too that, hey man - you think you might be hitting someone but you're not actually since it's pretty hard to tell when you are at longer ranges. Golden rule - don't be a dick - do unto others what you would like done to you. Good, vigilant refs who are willing to do their jobs always feed into a good day of airsoft.

Once I turned 18 I just started buying real guns which I love shooting but obviously it's frowned upon to shoot your buddies with real guns lmao. Was playing a match in one of those close quarter fields with plywood cover everywhere, was advancing towards the objective whatever the game mode was and I got sniped in the back of the head. I turn around to see a 6-year-old with a big ass bolt action airsoft gun no further than 15 ft away from me. This kid was on my team and his dad was sitting next to him and just shouted sorry! Two seconds later another one of our teammates gets sniped by this kid lmao. The kid had solid aim but for the wrong targets!

I had a guy go full Rambo at an event I was marshaling, jumped off the top of a single story set building onto two players, lifetime ban straight off the bat and we passed it around the other arenas near us, who we've worked with previously to ban him as well
I remember my first game. It was a DDay invasion style game and I was in a building when someone rushed in with his pistol. He stuck the barrel of the thing against my stomach below my plate carrier and fired 3 times, those were some bleeders dude lol
Airsoft can seriously hurt sometimes. I usually try to cover up as much skin as I can to avoid bleeding. I actually recently started trying to play using historical uniforms. 1980s US Paratrooper. I know it's silly to use kevlar for a game, but I enjoy it.
It's all fun and games at the local airsoft field until the real sf guy starts having flash backs to Tora Bora and you're holding a plastic AK and dressed in faux Tribal gear...

@@nsa1905 I don't have any links off-hand, but they have a whole rule system for it where if you're fired on by someone using blanks you have to call yourself out, depending on the situation. They have OCs like real exercises.

Been airsofting a fair bit and it's really fun but it sometimes gets ruined by a few people who seem to forget that you're just a bunch of dudes running around a woods shooting each other with toy guns. Pro-tip for avoiding drama, don't directly call someone out for not taking a hit. Firstly, it's really hard to tell if you've hit someone, especially at range. Often times it looks like your BBs are dropping onto them but in reality they're falling a bit short. Secondly, people wear all kinds of ridiculously over-the-top gear including plate carriers with real plates, so if you hit someone there's a good chance they might not feel it, especially with adrenaline going or if they're sprinting. A lot of the time you actually hear that you've been hit rather than feel it. Literally just tell a ref and at my field they'll shoot them and see for themselves if they call it, easy way of spotting cheaters, no need for drama.
I love that moment where patrick said hed be out there a week later online with his friends pretending to help look for the guy he had buried for touching his airsoft rifle🤣🤣🤣🤣 like"oh no where could he be?" But he knows😏

I don’t know where you guys live but I would highly recommend going to a more local less popular to the outside world airsoft field, one with a nice balance of cqb and milsim as the players there have likely formed a community among each other and are more truthful to the point where things like this don’t happen. Anyways hope you have a fun first game!
I've been playing since 03 and seen my share of disgraceful interactions. Adrenaline gets flowing and people are hopped up on energy drinks man. The moment that sticks out the most right now was at an indoor field. Big place though like Costco size. My buddy and I are in a stack on a wall and this deck with a minigun turns the corner and point-blanks my guy under the plate carrier. I think we just startled him because he stopped and I leaned around my pissed off bloody buddy and pop minigun once in the dome.
I could see you guys running your own airsoft games with a whole bunch of other vets. That would be pretty savage. You could develop your own rules and types of games. It would be really cool. Looking forward to seeing you both in action!

Because for some reason people can’t take the idea of them ever being like everyone else in a “gunfight”. They have to be the “Hero” or the “John Wick”. It’s not about having fun, it’s about boosting your ego in front of others with your “skills”. It’s why I never airsoft with kids younger than 16.
@11:11 Some context on this one because there’s 20 secs missing on the front end. There were 2 ghillie suit snipers about 5 ft apart and one he did shoot… but the guy in the blue shirt didn’t see the second ghillie suit sniper (guy who shoot him (kickingmustang))… and so when he saw a ghillie suit sniper shoot him, he thought it was the same guy… so this is a case of mistaken identity. HOWEVER, he should have shut up, got a marshal/ref after walking away and talked about his concern and they could have cleared it up without detection/possibly being shot.
Last week someone at the match I was at said backpack hits dont count and yelled and screamed like a little girl over it at the guy who got him out and the refs. Then some chad walked up and yelled, "SHUT UP, ITS A GOD DAMN BB WAR"
Some fields will do 'ref checks' where refs will watch specific people and see if they call hits, as well as sometimes doing more sneaky things like tossing BBs or other things to see if they're calling.
I've been doing airsoft here in the UK since I was 15 and I seen some legendary freak outs. A couple I have been blamed for and a couple my mates where blamed for but these are on a whole new level 😂😂😂
Go to a Milsim West event. They’re ran by an OG GWOT Ranger and have a ton of SOF cadre from a multitude of branches, it’s a whole different experience from just standard field days.
Lol I love these. I’ve been airsofting a while and I see freak outs occasionally. The only one I understand is the smoke grenade In the confined room. Usually not allowed near me. They didn’t sign up for chem warfare lol but STILLLLL just shrug it off get some fresh air drink some water get over it. Like don’t come out cursing up a storm at a game
I just recently restarted my airsoft Hobby and despite all the crazy videos I have zero experience with ppl going nuts. Never had to deal with this shit. But I’m also from EU and here you can only play airsoft at the age of 18. Guess that brings some matured integrity to the game…
I've never understood people complaining about playing the game; getting hit, gun jams/malfunctions, tactics, it's all part of the game. Call your hits, take your L and move on yo. It'd be like joining the UFC and then doing press conferences complaining about getting beat up... like what is your malfunction?

I did a lot of air soft a while back, I definitely got a little too immersed in it. I always loaded my truck with like 4 loadouts😂 spent like 10k on my gear over a year or so. Ghillie sniper, heavy mg support, etc. I have the 30cal on a tripod mount as well...no point tbh
Paintball is about being honourable too, sometimes you might get hit with a paintball that doesn't break on impact. So you can either admit you were hit or pretend you weren't because there's no paint.
As others are saying, these are extremes (besides the fat Brit). Most negative interactions involve some shit talking, telling the heated guy to walk away, and at most the ref gets involved and everything chills out. Remember my airsoft axiom: The other team always cheats. Also remember that (most players) are grown adult men playing dress-up with toy guns - if you're not having fun then you're doing it wrong. Been playing for about 4 years and I've never seen anything reaching these levels of immaturity. That said, most people don't mess with combat veterans. - Cpl, USMC, OIF 2004 & 2005 & OEF 2010 & 2012

To answer your question about “What’s El Sueno?” What he really said was Sureños which is a Hispanic gang, one of the most dangerous ones. But I don’t think he was actually affiliated because 1) they’re not pussies and 2) they play with real guns
I can assure you, this is probably about 1% of all airsofters that do this. The other 99% of players are super cool and everyone loves the sport all around.
A lot of the not calling hits I've found stems from other players thinking they hit you already and you didn't call your hit. I play Gelball which is similar but doesn't hit as hard as airsoft so at longer ranges its really easy to not notice hits.

Has Savage done a react to MILSIM West before? Feel like it'd be interesting to see what you guys think of that. It's pretty insane from what I've watched. Pretty much like a force on force exercise. Large scale with vehicles and everything. Some people even use actual rifles with blanks. Never played airsoft myself. Just thought you guys would find it interesting.

@@nsa1905 I don't have any links off-hand, but they have a whole rule system for it where if you're fired on by someone using blanks you have to call yourself out, depending on the situation. They have OCs like real exercises.

Been airsofting a fair bit and it's really fun but it sometimes gets ruined by a few people who seem to forget that you're just a bunch of dudes running around a woods shooting each other with toy guns.
Pro-tip for avoiding drama, don't directly call someone out for not taking a hit. Firstly, it's really hard to tell if you've hit someone, especially at range. Often times it looks like your BBs are dropping onto them but in reality they're falling a bit short. Secondly, people wear all kinds of ridiculously over-the-top gear including plate carriers with real plates, so if you hit someone there's a good chance they might not feel it, especially with adrenaline going or if they're sprinting. A lot of the time you actually hear that you've been hit rather than feel it. Literally just tell a ref and at my field they'll shoot them and see for themselves if they call it, easy way of spotting cheaters, no need for drama.
I love that moment where patrick said hed be out there a week later online with his friends pretending to help look for the guy he had buried for touching his airsoft rifle🤣🤣🤣🤣 like"oh no where could he be?" But he knows😏
This reaction reminded me when we used to run combat towns in oki and someone always got butthurt when they got hit and would just unload their mag on the other guy lol. Really looking forward to your guys airsoft battles
I don’t know where you guys live but I would highly recommend going to a more local less popular to the outside world airsoft field, one with a nice balance of cqb and milsim as the players there have likely formed a community among each other and are more truthful to the point where things like this don’t happen. Anyways hope you have a fun first game!
These videos have me glad my city has no public airsoft field, we just have the same concurrent group of 16-30 adults for weekend games
I've been playing since 03 and seen my share of disgraceful interactions. Adrenaline gets flowing and people are hopped up on energy drinks man. The moment that sticks out the most right now was at an indoor field. Big place though like Costco size. My buddy and I are in a stack on a wall and this deck with a minigun turns the corner and point-blanks my guy under the plate carrier. I think we just startled him because he stopped and I leaned around my pissed off bloody buddy and pop minigun once in the dome.
I could see you guys running your own airsoft games with a whole bunch of other vets. That would be pretty savage. You could develop your own rules and types of games. It would be really cool. Looking forward to seeing you both in action!

Because for some reason people can’t take the idea of them ever being like everyone else in a “gunfight”. They have to be the “Hero” or the “John Wick”. It’s not about having fun, it’s about boosting your ego in front of others with your “skills”. It’s why I never airsoft with kids younger than 16.
@11:11 Some context on this one because there’s 20 secs missing on the front end. There were 2 ghillie suit snipers about 5 ft apart and one he did shoot… but the guy in the blue shirt didn’t see the second ghillie suit sniper (guy who shoot him (kickingmustang))… and so when he saw a ghillie suit sniper shoot him, he thought it was the same guy… so this is a case of mistaken identity.
HOWEVER, he should have shut up, got a marshal/ref after walking away and talked about his concern and they could have cleared it up without detection/possibly being shot.
Last week someone at the match I was at said backpack hits dont count and yelled and screamed like a little girl over it at the guy who got him out and the refs. Then some chad walked up and yelled, "SHUT UP, ITS A GOD DAMN BB WAR"
Some fields will do 'ref checks' where refs will watch specific people and see if they call hits, as well as sometimes doing more sneaky things like tossing BBs or other things to see if they're calling.

Go to a Milsim West event. They’re ran by an OG GWOT Ranger and have a ton of SOF cadre from a multitude of branches, it’s a whole different experience from just standard field days.
Lol I love these. I’ve been airsofting a while and I see freak outs occasionally. The only one I understand is the smoke grenade In the confined room. Usually not allowed near me. They didn’t sign up for chem warfare lol but STILLLLL just shrug it off get some fresh air drink some water get over it. Like don’t come out cursing up a storm at a game
I just recently restarted my airsoft Hobby and despite all the crazy videos I have zero experience with ppl going nuts. Never had to deal with this shit. But I’m also from EU and here you can only play airsoft at the age of 18. Guess that brings some matured integrity to the game…

I did a lot of air soft a while back, I definitely got a little too immersed in it. I always loaded my truck with like 4 loadouts😂 spent like 10k on my gear over a year or so. Ghillie sniper, heavy mg support, etc. I have the 30cal on a tripod mount as well...no point tbh
Paintball is about being honourable too, sometimes you might get hit with a paintball that doesn't break on impact. So you can either admit you were hit or pretend you weren't because there's no paint.
Bounces are fair play though, aren't out till you're marked.
As others are saying, these are extremes (besides the fat Brit).
Most negative interactions involve some shit talking, telling the heated guy to walk away, and at most the ref gets involved and everything chills out.
Remember my airsoft axiom: The other team always cheats.
Also remember that (most players) are grown adult men playing dress-up with toy guns - if you're not having fun then you're doing it wrong.
Been playing for about 4 years and I've never seen anything reaching these levels of immaturity.
That said, most people don't mess with combat veterans.

To answer your question about “What’s El Sueno?” What he really said was Sureños which is a Hispanic gang, one of the most dangerous ones. But I don’t think he was actually affiliated because 1) they’re not pussies and 2) they play with real guns

A lot of the not calling hits I've found stems from other players thinking they hit you already and you didn't call your hit. I play Gelball which is similar but doesn't hit as hard as airsoft so at longer ranges its really easy to not notice hits.
