Sears thank God still had the same foot print as it did in 1975 when I left Omaha. Still as it looked in 1960 except added floors and the sawtooth roof line in the mall and floor tiles as well the same as day one. Good bye old friend, my Crossroads years were from 1963 till 1975.
In the 1960s "The Crossroad's" was the center of my universe. I would ride the #5 bus to catch the # 4 to catch the #3 to get to the CRs in 1968 and it is sad that that part of my youth is gone.
I love this video and the information within. I miss this mall, i grew up here. The locked parking garage steps are where you would frequently find my bike locked up, lol!
Update: this mall is set to be demolished soon, per local TV station WOWT on April 7, 2020. The white plastic covers along the bottom of the escalators near your feet actually lit up but they turned it off. If they turned on all the lights in that mall it would be beautiful.
Woah, I genuinely love this ;;o;; Funny thing is, I went there back in June, and two certain stores were closed, and last Sunday when I went there, surprisingly enough those two stores were open with a new business, so I'm hoping they try and reopen some stores!^^
I kinda love Crossroads for how dead it is, but it really is a dump. I think the last time I was there somebody got stabbed in the bathroom and the cops were there. Go with a buddy lol

kinda weird but i live right behind this mall. lol one time i snuck in to the underground part of it.
When they say live in the moment you really gotta live in the moment. The Sears store is already closing.
