They also make sure he loses places at the start and that his racing skills remain poor. Its not like they produce a race winning car for Kimi. Kimi is the worst driver out of the top 3 teams and would probably get beaten by Alonso and Ocon as well. He is past his prime, should have stopped at his peak.
Or his team manages a way to screw it up, like sending him too late on track or in bad track position OR forgetting to put enough fuel in his car for crying out loud....
