Wow! I have always loved Marc Bolan and T-Rex but had never seen this video til today. Loved his voice, his clothes, everything. He was ahead of his time. How cool to see Elton and Ringo accompanying him!

So...apparently you missed the entire grunge/alternative era? How about House or Hip Hop? How about Acid Jazz? There's loads upon loads of great music out there. Look around...or should I say listen around?
@John Harris. Just visited your channel. Think you should keep your amateur opinions to yourself when you're peddling music's answer to pork scratchings.
It was a FANTASTIC time to be a 10yr old kid..I remember the teacher at school making me take the sequin stars off my cheeks that I wore to be like my favourite glam rockers.I am from England and we had a show called TOTP Top Of The Pops with the most beautiful group of 70's dancers called 'Pan's People' and they'd come on shaking their stuff whilst Bowie,T-Rex ,The Sweet played..I'm sure it led to a whole generation of us being sexually ambiguous because men really were as beautiful as the women LOL ..40yrs TODAY btw ago Marc Bolan was killed and I can remember sitting up a tree aged 10 with my friend crying :( like it was yesterday...peace Sophie Wilde x
WOW!!! Thank you for uploading this cosmic miracle! Marc, Ringo and Elton. I’m smiling big for this video! (Do you think you could turn off the option to have other videos appearing at the end? That way we get the full experience 🙏🤍💫
OMG!!! I have that SAME GUITAR!!!! So does Jack Black! We all have that same butterfly guitar!!! I will admit that mine is the cheaper version without the fancy carved mother of pearl inlays, mine are just normal spot inlays, but I think Jack Black's has the fancy carved mother of pearl inlays, too. I just wish carpal tunnel hadn't take away my ability to play.
If only he wasn't such an asshole to the musicians he worked with. Sure, he wrote the stuff, but none of it means a thing if it isn't backed up by the band. Nobody respects loner studio queens.
Wow! Why have I just seen this for the first time? I read today there are some mysterious radio signals coming from Proxima Centauri, I'll bet it's the cosmic dancer
Ok, seriously epic, although i don't think Marc is actually plugged in at the end. 1. nice mullet Ringo! 2. my god, the dandruff on Elton John's shoulders! wow! Lesson: never wear black to these promo things cuz there ain't no fluffers around. 3. Mark is absolutely beautiful in this...ethereal then sexy...i wonder how bad Elton lusted after him during this shoot!
That is glitter dust on Elton's shirt. David Bowie mentioned that the girl doing makeup for this kept coming up for ideas for Marc and Elton kept asking for glitter.
@@ToryZStarbuck Haha, and thanks. I'm strangely glad it was glitter; but I reprimand myself - these legends are all human beings, and who really cares except for the music.
Tonsorially challenged Mr. John wouldn't have that problem nowadays, but I wouldn't be surprised if at some point he'd put "Dandruff In The Underwear" of Mr Bolan! 🩲
My Siamese kitten (from the SPCA) is hearing this for the first time and she is mesmerized. She can’t look away.😻🐾

@@lynkent677 - you seem quite limited in your comfort zone.
@John Harris. Grunge and alternative was absolute pigswill. You are a clueless twat.

I agree it was beautiful!
The drummer and piano-player were good. I wonder where they are now, probably playing in a pub band somewhere.
R u that thick ????
@@04EZCarter but a lot lot of folk are that daft lol
Melanie Monk he was joking. Perhaps you’re that thick! 😂
There were two drummers, T.Rex' drummer at that time, Bill Legend, was in the other corner from Ringo. He apparently has a band called X-TRex.
😂 😂
This video is truly iconic!

Ringo should have never got that horrifying mullet.
