@@darienhigh yes, she was. And years before that, he had recorded a song with a title like The Road I’m On or something like that and he references a woman named Gloria, which was her name. There’s a video about all the premonitions he had about his death. Fascinating, but tragic. 😪

He also stated that he was glad he hadn’t died at the same time as Elvis, who died shortly before, because he would’ve got all the column inches instead!
And the strange thing is that if you watch that video where they’re singing together to know you is to love you, Gloria actually had a beautiful voice. So why did she screech so badly when she was doing background vocals for Marc? It drives me crazy. It’s like fingernails on a blackboard. Their voices didn’t go together at all.
Marc was actually very polite (and stoned) towards that wooden unprepped interviewer that just didn't get that the songs were all about ac*d, pu*sy and stic*ing it to the man and just having fun (with the girl on the back row) ✌️
Actually, I think he was a lot like Bowie in that his music kept evolving. If you listen to his very first albums when he was Tyrannosaurus Rex and follow the arc of his music, he changed even more than Bowie did I feel. Or at least as much. He accomplished a lot in his 10 years of recording. 💕
