Spurs used him a lot better here. Especially in the second half putting him in good spots with the ball. First game felt like he was getting the ball too far out and trying to iso every time.
That's on his teammates ... first game he was confused because people don't pass when he's open so he wandered a little.

In his first game Victor W. was nervous and NOT used to teammates who don't pass the ball. So he was a little confused on offense. Once he has an organized team looking for him, he will put up a ton of points. And already he's a defensive nightmare for opposing teams.
Hes going to get hammered this season, every team has a big with a point to prove and a guard with a poster to put on the wall. Wemby will be a nightmare to score on like mutumbo, but only be shooting 3's on the bigs
You'll realise how tall he is when you see him next to your favourite big. He will dunk over every one in the league.

This new basketball era is too stat focused. Wemby has solid basketball tools as a three level scorer, play maker, and perimeter/inside defender. And happens to be 7-4!! Can’t wait to see how his game blossoms this season

What im really impressed right now with Victor, is him playing out there, IMO The best ability is availability.

This summer league has been on a different planet, it seems like every guy can do damn near everything
This is the first summer league that I have watched several games for four quarters. The coaches\GMs making the cuts will have some hard decisions. I just watched Houston and Detroit and both of these clubs have impactful players making the decision of who is on the roster and who is not a tough decision.
That Houston game was crazy, Detroit was a dunking clinic and same with Houston a little bit but Jabari so the dribble and pull up for the mid range
It's been crazy good talent on the floor this summer, I've been watching as many games as possible unlike summers before where after a couple of quarters I'm bored, very good draft class, invites too. . .

Im not sure having 8 turnovers is `unstoppable` he has a ton of talent but he will get poached on the perimeter fairly regularly at the next level until he learns when to dribble and when to just spot up and shoot it. It will be very interesting to see how pop chooses to develop and use him moving forward. Much like Chet these really tall thin guys maybe are more a SF than a Centre or Power forward in terms of how they fit on an offence.

As a french, the first thing to remind is that he is only 19. Then he also finished our league final on June 15th and then went directly to the NBA draft and its "washing machine" and now plays first summer league games. Compared to an in shape Wemby that we have seen here during the season, he looks tired physically and probably psychologically. Who wouldn't? So now he's got to get rest, to work with SAS coaches and teammates and we'll see in the coming season. Even in France we consider him as an exceptionnal prospect, but the highest mountain is in front of him and we are not sure he'll go to the top of it since he's so unique. We don't know (but we hope !)

His floor is Bol Bol. His ceiling is a taller version of Durant, probably with better interior defense but worse outside shooting. He could be Giannis with a jumper if he bulks up enough to drive through guys like Giannis does, but I see him playing more of Durant's style. I just hope he stays healthy long enough to reach his potential and give us NBA fans some good highlights.

Shooting and defense were fine; he did not dribble as much and get picked this time. They fell behind more when he was on the bench, shows his value. Only thing is, when he decides to score, he does not look around after he is double teamed for an assist like Jokic. He has good rebound instincts.
