This kid has been thrown to the wolves immediately and is really starting to up his stats in just 18 games in the league, getting comfortable, he's already contributing double-doubles. Next season he'll be a beast.
I noticed lot of their losses they are leading much until the closing minutes, just partnered him with good pointguard and a true rebounding big men and Spurs gonna be a contender next season.
A lot of the games that they’ve lost, they were up in the 4th qtr. They just gotta do a better job of executing down the stretch. This kid’s got talent is only god-given, you can’t do anything with that. His fluidity on the court is like water. I saw this with Jordan also, those are the only two players that I’ve seen move like that.
@@andilemakanza1768 probably because one is playing his first NBA season after playing in France all his life or because one doesn't have the All NBA first team PG on his team or Because one is in his second year
Just hope he doesn't loose too much confidence with all the looses at the moment At the contrary it's maybe buiding its mental strengh We'll see but it's amazing to watch
There is a problem the Spurs have been avoiding to answer regarding this young man. What is he? If you took away his height, made him the average NBA height and called him a guard (like he wants to be) he is a below average shooter and ball handler. If you play him in the post he is a below average center because the bigger centers will push him around. This is the problem being a jack of all trades and a master of none. The safest bet is that he's a 4 with SOME outside shooting and SOME ball handle. It confuses me to no end why he's not getting in the paint when his teammates are taking 3s (mostly piss poor coaching).
In as much as I agree with you to some extent, he's 19, new to the NBA play compared to FIBA were he was developed. It will take some time to develop his shooting, positioning & understand his team. I think he's a great talent for that height. He will achieve a lot for club & county. Break some records, win championships, awards & get inducted into the hall of Fame if he not hurt.
Pop said they are not forcing him to do anything. Pop said he rarely gives Wemby a play. He also said that they were just giving him freedom on what to do. He is just a 19 year old rookie on a rebuilding team, so just relax.
He is a power forward we can see that in his plays. He is not asking for the ba much does not stand around the rim because he is still in the honey moon phase in this Spurs team.
He is not that impressive , he just happens to be 7+ feet tall which gives him an obvious advantage in arms expansion and overall height over his competition!.Same happened with Wilt Chamberlain and Shaq, only difference Wilt was a much better shooter and Shaq a much dominant and aggressive player!.Give any average young player in the NBA today the same height advantage and you will get similar defense wise results!. Not impressed with Wembo at all, give any NBA player with a desent talent and skills the height of 7+ feet and anyone can do what Wembo does and even better 😂😂😂😂😂! It's called and innate born advantage!
Kid is gonna be amazing when they surround him with other high IQ winners. Look out. Wemby and Chet are gonna change basketball.
Réactions?
Scary man dude has a lot of highlights already and when he develops more it'll be even scarier
2:02 Theres no way he didnt see a 7'4 dude with his hand up in the air wide open running toward the basket. Smh wow
Yeah that was pretty sad
@kingvolpe8647 I like how after he passed it he points to throw it down low to wemby basically acknowledging immediately he messed up lol

Hes not human,hes an alien
I think he can dunk from behind the 3-point line.
He's got a lot of great potential but the glazing is wild 💀😭 he's most likely an hall of famer but that's God's to decide
If it bother you why do you watch the video ?Do you have a life ?
"glazing", What a cringe-ass word.
Rn, Chet is playing far better

I suggest you apply as external consultant to the Spurs organization. They need to understand how bad their choice was.
19 years old. Just stop.

nobody on that team knows how to play with someone like Wemby. He was better off staying in Europe and winning
He will make them champions again eventually
