Secondly, the driver of the GTR didn’t pull into “Pre Stage” & wait for the 1400, he went straight into “full stage” & activated his launch control; which would’ve put the 1400 at a clear disadvantage when staging (not very sportsman like of the GTR). The 1400 driver just out played the GTR driver at his own game.

Not quite… a standard R35 does the quater mile in roughly 12.2 seconds, the Nissan 1400 at that point in time ran 11.2 second runs. Even if the R35 is fast he won’t catch the 1400 with a delayd start of 3 soconds
