I have a Simplex BT. I must admit it's a fine machine for the price.

I like the Nokta simplex products, and the ultra is a very light detector to swing.

Hey Jamie, I think the pinpoint button is the middle button on the bottom and the ground balance button is the lower left. Seems like you might have been using the ground balance button for the pin pointer in the beginning.

      Wow! I didn’t notice I was doing that!😁

Yes she is using the Ground Balance Button Push as her Pinpoint Button 😮😮😮 and that's why I have went to the X-Terra Pro and it's easier to see and get to it "clearly marked" and it's not a Press and Hold type like that of the Simplex Ultra and your fingers/ thumb will start to hurt using it and holding it down for awhile and then the X-Terra Pro it's a push on and push off and you don't have to keep holding down the buttons and I use to have the Simplex + and I'm Very Glad that the X-Terra Pro is out and I heard you say that you are going to be using field program and Then ALL Metal Mode and that isn't possible for the Simplex Ultra At the same time and also not possible on any of the Simplex lineup of Detector's and it's 2 completely different Programs and Tone's.......... But on the Minelab Detector's and the X-Terra Pro you can do that with Field 1 and 2 and Park 1 and 2 and Have the All Metal Mode On and Still Have and Hear the Tone's of the Different Metal's but that option to do what the X-Terra Pro is capable of doing it isn't available for any of the Simplex's and If you use the All Metal Mode ALOT it's all the way to the right side of the screen on the Simplex Ultra and then it's a Single Tone 😢..... But on the X-Terra Pro you can be on Field 1 and be able to do 2 tone 5 Tone's and All Tone's And Depth Tone And still have the Horseshoe Button On but it's not that way on the Simplex Ultra it's only a single tone program just like the Simplex + Was and I have stopped the video to write this article to you and I'm at 4 something and I will finish the video and see if you have changed it to the actual All Metal Mode on the Simplex Ultra and If you do have a Detector Store pretty close enough to you and can really see what the X-Terra Pro is able to do for you and like I said before I use to have the Simplex + and the X-Terra Pro is so much better than the Simplex Lineup of Detector's and it's has Changeable Single Frequencies and the Simplex Ultra has only the same Single Frequency of 15 MHz and the X-Terra Pro has 5-8-10-15 MHz and it's a more versatile detector than anything Simplex Lineup and when the original Simplex Came out I listened to the Tester's and I didn't try it out and I also didn't have any kind of detector store to go to that was carrying Notka Macro Product's and I ordered it online and I have NOW traded it up for a Equinox 600 and the Minelab Detector's are more User Friendly Detectors than the Simplex but I didn't know that until I had it in my Hands and actually using it for myself and if you can get to the store and try it out and the X-Terra Pro is the best one for the little bit of money to spend........

@carolrice2063 I realized I was pushing the ground now. It was kinda confusing at first, but when I got to know the detector a little, it’s no problem now. I like the Ultra, I like the light weight, so much easier on the arm to swing. Still got to get used to all the tones though. But I took it to the beach, really liked it on wet sand, no interference at all accept with the target. But, we each like different product machines and that’s a good thing! Thanks for the comment and watching, we are all still learning!😊👍

@@countrydiggers but with the X-Terra Pro there's no more interference with the Pinpointer and having to turn the Simplex Ultra on and off like that you are doing now in the video and having to go back and reset it and I know that it's not that much but it's still a pain and it doesn't have the mute button push like the old Simplex had And the X-Terra Pro is the very first time using a Minelab Detector and I have had Numerous Garrett's Detector's and Teknetics Detectors and Radio Shack Detector's and it's the first one that what I have been looking for for 50 years now that will Separate the targets and not just give me a tone And I don't have to go ahead and Dig it up like that of the Simplex Lineup 🤔 just to see what it was because the X-Terra Pro will give me the right number for a Coin target and I'm Not digging up ALOT of target's that sounds great but then it's just junk like that I Was doing it with the Simplex and I'm still amazed at what abilities it has to do with the Signal's that It gets and if you would go ahead and check out the X-Terra Pro...... edit and I Was happy with the Simplex and until I Was At my permission and I couldn't get the Simplex to be able to detect with it and the EMI Problem's started and I went to Notka Macro Product's Website to get a new update and then to Only Find Out that it's on the Discontinued Detector List and no more Updates and then and there I decided that I would have to go ahead and check out more Detector's that I didn't want to get but the X-Terra Pro Was coming out and I could possibly get it done before the Simplex finally decided to stop working but then a friend told me about the X-Terra Pro and it's price and I started watching a bunch of videos of it and I NOW have it and it's going great for me and good riddance to the Simplex and I have actually traded the Simplex for a Equinox 600 and Minelab Engineering Team really know what they are doing and I love the X-Terra Pro ❤️❤️❤️..

I have read about the Simplex Ultra and the All Metal Mode on it is a totally different than what is on the X-Terra Pro and the Simplex Ultra has a Threshold style of All Metal Mode which is a Single Tone and it has No Separation of target's and then you still have to dig it up to see what it is and On the X-Terra Pro You have the ability to change the Tone's on the All Metal Mode "Horseshoe Button" 2 Tone,5 Tone, All Tone's And Depth Tone And also It's Not a Separate Program but it's a Added Feature to your Settings but All you have to do is get the X-Terra Pro setup for the hunt, Noise Cancel and Ground Balance And the program that you will be hunting Park, Field, Beach, then the Horseshoe Button Push and I keep the sensitivity down below 20 and actually it's 12 Sensitivity that I use but last night I was using 18 Sensitivity and I'm getting to know what the X-Terra Pro is able to do and if you do go to a Detector Store just to look at the X-Terra Pro take some of the iron bottle caps and aluminum Targets that the Simplex Ultra said that they were going to be a great target and the Foil aluminum Top's still will be sounding great on any detector made today but the Can Slaw you can tell when it's close enough to get detected and then it's a warbel tone And I have just walked on and instead of Notka Macro And the Simplex says that it's a good target and that's why I love the X-Terra Pro and also the Tone's and the 50 years of Detecting and finally got a Great Detector that is what I have been looking for and not Another Detector that is a Artifact Detector like the Simplex + and looks like the Simplex Ultra is also that and I hate to see everyone else that is Struggling with a new Junk Target Detector and Yes I'm Sold on the X-Terra Pro and it's Abilities and I Coin Shoot and I always have been but the Detectors that I have bought over the years and now that I have the X-Terra Pro,I'm 🤔 very Happy that it's Out and the Cheapest Price Range and I'm not afraid to spend the money on Something else but I don't have to Now that the X-Terra Pro is out and it's in my Hands 👍 and I ❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️..... and the only thing that I don't like that the Headphones weren't available for them when I bought it at the time but they are now and then the way that I have bought the Original Simplex is I have to Find enough money to get them and I don't use any of My Pocket Money but it's from what others have Lost Coin's and that's how I bought the X-Terra Pro also and until I have found enough money for the headphones fund and then the Winter is coming up and then I will have to wait until the season is going again to add to it......

I hardly ever use pinpoint on detectors, unless it's deep and I wanna check the depth reading. My detector also has a loud pinpointing sound, it could wake up a neighborhood, lol.

I love the pinpoint on detectors, I am very glad they decided to put that feature on most of them. Yeah it is loud, I was detecting a neighbor’s property without headphones early in the morning. Had another neighbor step out on her porch and yell at me! That’s when I decided to buy headphones, but they were for my Simplex, now I will have to buy some for my Ultra!

Man, I just can't stand the ugly sounds that machine makes.. just more used to the smooth sounds of Minelab detectors 🤷
