Absolutely!! I believe it could be good enough for some peoples need to never need another machine again. If Multi Frequency isn't needed for any reason, this machine is so nice!
@@wicked_digger I am really killing it with the legend I on the beach s now until are fields are once available in late October hopefully 🤞 but I am doing great I got the beautiful civil war drummer s cuff button in excellent shape 8 inches one thing I did notice with the legend it does up on higher conductors for example I had wheat pennys ring up as high as 48 to 51 9 inches in the ground dimes are even worse but I can live with that because I no it’s going to be a decent find as long a zinc penny s don’t because that’s interferi with Indian head penny s I got 2 pieces of Silver last night so old from the 1700s only marking said s mom and there is a tiny ruby in one piece and the other piece is a wing I did look for the bracelet or necklace but was not able to find anything else they were with 10 inches to each other and what was really surprising I was in gold mode 40 kHz and smacking out high conductors lol
@ChrissyEis that is fantastic!! I have seen some wheaties ring up pretty high like that too, maybe the orientation in the ground but better than trash! 😆 Deep dimes are awful, they sound so good! That was just awesome, Chris! I really like the Simplex. My wife has the Simplex + and I recently purchased the aftermarket carbon fiber lower shaft. That shaft makes it like a totally different machine. I’m thinking our next detector purchase just might be the Ultra. Another great video and I’m looking forward to the next. Take care, brother.

Thank you! I think that if you don't need the multi frequency or do beach hunting, the Ultra will be great. From what I understand, it's better on the salt water than the simplex+ is. I love my simplex+ and used it for 3.5 years, but the Legend has been a great upgrade. I still need more time with the Ultra, but it's great so far! Can't wait to mess with settings and change tone pitch and test the recovery speed. Going to be a fun machine!
I also love my 2 simplex s one with stock coil and my favorite is the sp 24 l thought I would not favorite the sp24 like every one said once you used it you won’t use no other coils on the simplex so right but the Legend is a new beast it seems to have eyes in which other MD people have missed with their MD it really loves jewelry 5 rings in a month not even really working extremely hard at it one gold one Sterling silver and the rest really beautiful plated gold with beautiful Australia crystal

I was looking to X-Terra Pro but I saw some videos about the jumping vdi numbers and poor performance in contrast to other metal detectors. About Simplex new generation metal detectors I do not know much. As I told you I have a vanquish 540 which is good detector with stable and reliable vdi numbers but it is not waterproof. I am very confused and I do not know what to buy X-Terra Pro or something out of the three new simplex series? My budget is 300€. I would like your suggestion. I am waiting for your reply, thanks in advance.
Hello and thanks for swing by! I don't have any personally experience with the X-terra Pro, but from what I understand, people are enjoying it. The Simple Ultra has been a great machine so far, I just haven't had enough hours with it yet. The VDI can definitely be jumpy. I feel like most machines are once you get past 5-6 inches. Of course there are many different factors that can make VDI vary. I don't pay too much attention to the numbers, more so the tones. If you are patient, and can save a bit more, NOKTA just announced 2 new machines that are multi frequency and will be great on the beach. The score and double score. The score will be the cheaper one and is a very easy to use machine. Automatic ground balance and not much for adjustment. Basically a multi frequency turn on and go machine. The double score will have adjustments, much like the Ultra and up to the Legend. They will be going for less than 500 pounds but not sure the exact price. If you can wait and maybe save up a bit more, I think one of those new machines just may be what you are looking for. I released a NOKTA video from detectival earlier today about the unveiling of them.
Best settings iv found for unmasking in trashy areas: Field Mode, iron audio On, recovery speed 4, tone break at 7, iron audio tone volume 0 or 1. i perfer 0. can also play with ground supressor 2 or 3. Ofcourse you not going to be getting super deep but for parks and trashy areas works great. Very impressive for the price point.
Thats definitely a good set up! I do like iron audio, It helps me and I like to hear all the iron. I run with A discrimination. I always have ground suppressor off. In heavy iron I buno the recovery speed to 7 and it grabs about everything, so nice, just swing slow and low!

Is if you change the iron audio tone volume it doesnt really change the "volume", turning it down turns the iron tone into a light buzz rather than a tone, so if there is a target near the iron the target POPS out more. Also i would love to see a update that lets you save the iron audio setting to ON rather than having to turn it on everytime you turn the machine on. This is my first machine and absolutly loving the hobby and loving the test garden, cant believe i didnt get into it sooner. Its been amazing learning from all you veterans out there. I do believe they are, I haven't compared them side by side, but I will! They should be as they are using the same scale. I will test that out for sure!

With that being said, considering I don't really beach hunt, is it necessary to have the multi frequency, not really for me. I also haven't tried the Ultra on a beach either, it may perform well. My Simplex+ was definitely chattery on the beach, great in dirt. Loved my Simplex+ for 3.5 years though and will never get rid of that machine. I'm liking the options that the Ultra has for fine tuning and believe it will be a fantastic starter machine for anyone and if multi frequency isn't needed, it could also be a machine that wouldn't need an upgrade and will last for many years. I definitely still have some testing and in field hunting to do with the Ultra before I'm firm on any decisions. So far I like it though!
