On Friday I found an Abandoned Thunderbolt 1000 siren on Glen Rock Road route 216 just outside of Glen Rock heading toward I-83. It has some rust on it and the wires are cut. I have no idea what they used it for.
They must have either not enough power going to it or the brush angle set really far back than normal. Sounds like a carter or gents this way. I like it.
@@lukemicsky3086 Oh thanks yeah you know I was gonna go to that but I just said lets play it safe and go to highspire. There are a few M-10's around town its almost like a mini system and according to Owen Wanshop the M-10's dont go with Dauphin County so idk.
They used to have a Model 2 mounted on the antenna pole. And the tone (not the pitch) of the siren seems strange, it doesn't sound like a normal 2T22. Listen to the wind up and down, it has weird over/undertones.
If i recall thats on the opposite side of the state that Luke Lives in I Also live here but i dont get a chance to go out and record siren tests much. Personally I would love to go record it before its Siratone Controls eat the dust
@@DrpanProductions You're correct lol. We're occasionally out there passing through to see family or going to Steelers games, but I live in the Harrisburg area.
Hey Luke! It's me Sirens Of Maryland and my name is Luke to! I was wondering if you knew what the frequency was for the dauphin county fire sirens activation I am going in 2 weeks so I just wanted to know. Thanks!
I love it's super unique sound!
0:14 Sounds like a Carter WWII Siren.
That's because UK made a new siren but with horns and flopped choppers and this siren has bad bearings

Awesome! I do love me a 2T22

There's a 5V down in shiremanstown. I wonder if they test it. It's at the FD.
Yeah, I've been there for pics before but I'm pretty sure it's broken.
@@lukemicsky3086 oh ok. I just found it on google maps, so...

I've known of that, I haven't a clue what it was for either. Cool nonetheless!
A model 2 used to sit on the pole next to it.

I honestly kinda like it this way too, it's still plenty of power to cover the small area.
'Hear the Lemon in Alert' lol
Edit: my apologies for the shakiness, my tripod was on top of the nearby church bell for a more elevated shot. 😂
Sound like carter or klaxon cs8

Short answer is this: I think it is, it was just redone a few years ago, but I've gone twice and nothing's happened.

This siren is single phase, meaning that it sounds lower pitched.
There’s a 612 in forest hills that does chimes every day at 9:45 PM. Please record that if you can!

Yeah, there legit has not been a video of a 612 in the wild doing siratone chimes in 13 years. Someone’s gotta record it.
