Being from Kansas, I can't say I've heard the siren in the featured segment. Specifically it's an ACA Allertor, which is becoming exceptionally rare these days. Nowadays we have Federal Signal 2001s across much of the state in the cities, with a few Thunderbolt 1000s sprinkled throughout Sedgwick County. So it's a very real sound that you could hear from a siren in Kansas, but finding an Allertor is gonna be a serious P.I.T.A..

As someone who moved to Georgia, I heard the alarm first in 2023 when the big tornado outbreak happened in Central Georgia, the alarm came from Fulton County I think.
I live in indiana and i also confirm its real. I hear it alot when storms approach us, scares me cause you dont kow whats coming but you know its bad.

1. The siren is used for tornadoes, severe storms, etc.
2. It is a real siren, though I do not know what one.
