The crusty stuff on the bottom that you wiped away is called fond. It's delicious because the maillard reaction, you should deglaze instead with wine or stock to retain that amazing flavor. If you're worried about the oil or fat you can always skim it off later!
You need to be pretty rich (or sponsored) to have that many Le Creuset pots. I just bought my first one after agonizing about whether a knock-off would be just as good. One Dutch oven will work fine for me.
This looks absolutely incredible, and I love that you started by assuaging us viewers it wouldn't be overwhelming with ingredients. I am definitely going to try it tonight but without the cream. I'll let you know how it goes!
I just bought a beautiful Le Creuse Braiser and your Coq Au Vin recipe was the 1st recipe I cooked in it. Wow! What a wonderful and tasty way to start. Thank you.
I have just started watching your videos and i have to say... i am INSPIRED, i made this chicken dish for my friends last night and they couldnt get over how nice it was. THANK YOUUUUU.. keep them coming! xx
Tried this recipe tonight in my dutch oven. Definitely will be a repeat. Taste and flavour was outstanding. Followed recipe to a tee but added more flour at end to thicken sauce. Just personal taste. I am now a subscriber.
From a Frenchman: it's coq au vin, not coq au "van"! :) And if you can get your hands on a rooster, you should use that instead of chicken. That's what "Coq" is. But if you prefer chicken, try Poulet au vin jaune with morrel mushrooms, similar to your recipe, its an amazing French classic for winter and spring! I love your videos!
@@martinlyle2328 do you have any french dish recommendations? Beginning to explore french cooking :) Made ratatouille and I'm planning to make boef bourgingnon and coq au vin, but theyre both a little intimidatingg. Do you have any simpler french classics or a youtube channel that does french cuisine?
Well Done on receiving sponsorship from Le Crueset!!! I really enjoy watching you cook. and I love your presentations with all your bowls, decanters, jugs, mugs and salt container.... I wish I live in the states so I can buy them too.
Amazing recipe but I placed the pan in the oven and baked for an hour uncovered and it reduces the sauce which intensifies the flavors and browns the chicken even more. Stovetop and covered felt too steamed.
Great recipe! I've tried making coq au vin a few times in the past using red wine and never liked it. But I think the white version will be awesome. One of my favorite recipes to make with chicken and wine is chicken marengo, which is similar to this recipe, but it's a tomato based sauce, vs a cream sauce. And whoa!!! you were sponsored by Le Creuset? That is super awesome! But I don't think the new colors really match the pretty pastels you had in the past. Especially that dark one in the back. LOL! I'd flip if I got a whole new set of Le Creuset pots/pans!
That’s my fav one!!!!! I love the deep purple with the gold knob. In person it goes well with the pink (and I’m not just saying that... I love purple / pink / gold like our wedding colors 😄). The chicken Marengo sounds awesome! I need to look into more chicken stew variations. Yum!!
Wow, that looks great!! I'm going to have to try this recipe. quick question: I love the fact that you try everything you make. Have you every try something that you didn't like and still shared the video?!
@@honeysuckle I've not seen this much rain in YEARS here in Los Angeles! Because we've been in a drought status for so long, I'm trying not to complain. Stay dry. 😊
i have loads of my grans old le creuset cooking dishes but they are all really brown at the bottoms or have chipped.is it true do you know if they replace them even if there that old? i could never afford all new ones.
I just bought a 7.5 qt Le Creuset and was surfing TH-cam for chicken dishes to christen it. Somehow I got the first video where you are being sponsored by them, gotta be fate, I'm making this today!
Dear Dzung, Not only it was a wonderful recipe, it also succeeded beyond expectations! Now I am preparing the egg noodles and we are good to go! Best regards from Israel 💖
There were a few things i disagreed with what you did, but that's only because that's how I cook and everyone cooks differently. Other than that and the long vlogs, it looks great. Fantastic food
So good! 😋 I made this last night in my Dutch oven from Target. Wish I could afford Le Creuset. Those colors are beautiful. The receipt was delish. I have gas oven, Next time I will cook it on medium and then low for the 30 mins. Other than that it it was a big hit with my family. Actually making it again tonight. BTW, where did you get those spoons? They are so cute!
Dzhung this looks sooo yummy and delicious plz can u make boeuf bourguignon recipe plz . can u make this recipe with a stainless or teflon pot does that work too

not if you burn it like she did lol (but then she didn't wipe out the burnt fond either hahaha)
Le Creuset sponsorship yes queen

Looks yummy
Made this tonight, it was delicious!
Should the chicken be cooked to 165 inside at the beginning or just seared?
this looks so delicious!!! definitely a great dinner for a cold night. what would be a substitute for the heavy cream?
You can sub with creme fraiche!
