YAAYYYY!!!!! He's BAAAAAAAAAAACK!!!! For those visiting Vegas, avoid "dancing in the street" near the "DROPICANA"!! Streets and freeways will be closed off and on for quite a few months!
Those California kids so fortunate to have all these places to dance. This was 55 years ago I guess I should stop being jealous😞. In other news a Kevin Bacon doppelganger spotted @1:57
An anthem indeed! Motown, Martha, Marvin, Casey, Dick, Shebang and, of course, AB are all as American as apple pie. Happy 4th of July to you too Don. 🇺🇸
Hey Aaron!!! Hope the new year is going good for you so far. Dancing In The Street encompasses the 60s PERIOD! It's everything good about that decade. Martha & The Vandellas are my fave girl group from Motown, then The Marvelettes, then The Supremes. I always root for the underdogs! Plus, I feel that Martha & the girls had more "meatier" songs on their albums. I would love to see this whole ep in full, as Motown was in the midst of it's peak in quality & popularity. The label just ruled the airwaves & music lover's bank accounts back then. Lol The iconic Casey Kasem! Man, as a kid, I couldn't wait for the next episode of America's Top 10 to come on TV. Even the intro music is legendary to me. And as the voice of Norville "Shaggy" Rodgers on Scooby-Doo (which is my number 1 fave cartoon bar none!!!!!!), he was one of my fave people. He made you trust him when he talked about the hits of the day. I really enjoy these Shebang clips. It's like AB, but just enough things injected into it to make it different. Thanks for this as always Aaron! PS: I'll stick to Swiss Miss pudding! Lol
Welcome back Aaron and Gary. Hope you both and all of TOIT land had a great finish to a great year and we keep on going. Thax a heap guys i really enjoyed!!!!
Just LOVED seeing Famous Hooks and June on the Platform. Recognized a few others from AB ALSO ☺️. Thanks A Million Aaron for this Special flashback. I was 8 in '67 my sister was 13. I remember doing the "Jerk" & the "Hitchhike" saw that dance being displayed 🤣🤣🤣. LOVED the "Shak A Puddin" spot. "Puddin, Puddin, Shake A Puddin" used to love that commercial ‼️ Saying Howdy from Abilene,Texas 🤠😎 and Y'all Stay Safe and Warm 😘😘

A Dick Clark production. He was uncredited, but he had a lot to do with it. And i seen a lot of the Bandstand dancers like Famous Hooks, for instance. A locally produced show in Los Angeles. Oh and btw Aaron, thanks for that video because it tied right in for Berry Gordy’s honor at the Grammys on this past Sunday.
Happy new year to you! Great start to the year with some old Casey Kasem and seeing some of the AB regulars. Do you still have the clip where Dick Clark makes an appearance on Shebang for one the anniversary shows? As Casey would say, keep your feet on the ground and keep reaching for the stars! Thanks.
What strikes me is NO inter-racial dancing?!? But ... fabulous song - so well remember it from Friday night Junior High Dances in Grand Haven, MI 1963-4 and selling individual pizzas (size of a saucer) for 50 cents to raise money for JETS Club (Junior Engineering and Technical Society) ... the mothers of all we "nerds" baking them in the cafeteria kitchen. Great time to be growing up!
Why would there be intra-racial dancing....White guys would NEVER dance with a black female and the Caucasian Females would never dance with an African American Male.

I love watching these videos because it takes me back to a time where people were respectful and really enjoyed being together.
Exactly! 👍🙂
Idk about respectful, but yes… the aesthetic is definitely very cool !
Never had Shake-A-Pudd'n but I remember that silly ad. Dancing In The Street qualities as a sixties anthem!
Love It Here In Chicago 😎

Seems like the "Shake-A Pudd'n" jingle was inspired by Jan & Dean. Groovy stuff!

Great video Aaron. I remember when the television shows started coming out in color.
Watching this shebang makes me want to put in my DVD of Hairspray with Ricki lake for some reason
All dancing during an earthquake, truly riveting to see the power of music.
I don’t like the shakiness but I love your take on it. 😂 🕺
Still an anthem to this day. Aaron, have a safe and rockin’ 4th of July.

@@dwightpowell6673 that’s a load of crap. You’re trolling. Move away from your keyboard & out of your basement.
Hey! Do you have any footage of The Temptations on Shebang? I know there’s already some footage on TH-cam but the quality is just awful
