Sounds of a Weston Street - High Street Heritage Action Zone

Imagine if you could listen in on the history of your high street, what would you hear? Maybe shoppers browsing the displays, traffic whizzing by, people relaxing in the pub or even protests at the town hall? Listen to this soundscape to get a feel of some of the events and developments of the streets in Weston-super-Mare's High Street Heritage Action Zone. You can hear everything from fires and trams to court hearings and hymns.
This video is a learning extra to link in with a 'Dandy's History Detectives Teacher's Pack'. This is part of a High Street Heritage Action Zone project, which is a collaboration between North Somerset Council and Weston Museum and is funded through Historic England.
