    I love my Canik tp9-sa.
I took mine to my concealed carry class yesterday, and the instructor was very surprised with how good this gun fired.
We stayed late at the range, after class, and put about 300 rounds down range. He liked it so much he has now ordered one for himself.
He was a veteran, a retired policeman, and a firearms instructor for 15 years. This guy knew his stuff, and said it was one of the best pistol he had ever fired.
We shot every kind of 9mm round he had, from PMC, CCI, Winchester, Remington, and some high quality hollow points, such as Hornady critical defence, and duty, CorBons, and Hydra-Shoks. This pistol fired every single type of ammunition we put in it, flawlessly. Not even a hiccup.

Jeffrey Miesse The sights on mine are pretty much dead on, and required no adjustment. I can't speak for others, but this can happen with any firearm, high-end, or not. I can speak for my Canik tp9sa, and I can report very accurate sights.

Canik's are incredible. I stumbled upon the TP9 in 2018 on a Black Friday gun buy and I've been an advocate ever since. I've gotten 9 of my fellow coworkers to buy one and they all are converted to the Canik. Since my first one, I've bought 9 more including the hard to find all white TP9SFx which is a beautiful piece. Anyone who is a gun enthusiast or even a beginner at shooting or owning guns should definitely put one in their collection. You can't argue the price for what all you get with this gun.

I have owned Glocks, HK's, Walthers, and the like...
All great guns! Not a doubt. But I have to say, I've never owned a gun that I was more impressed with than the tp9 sa. For the money (heck, for $300 more) you're not going to beat it. It's comparable to the PPQ, VP9 and p 320. Maybe even a better trigger by a hair.
Top quality fit and finish. Those who say otherwise generally are gun snobs who haven't shot it....and won't.
Only factory semi's that i know to be superior are the P226 & top quality 1911s. Get the gun...you won't regret it.
As always, hickok45, great vid! Keep on shootin!

  • @allanarndt3047
    @allanarndt3047 2 ปีที่แล้ว +8

I have the Tp9sfx & love it! NO malfunctions of any kind. I feel your “issue” with the pistol shooting high is your load selection not the pistol. All the Canik line I understand are designed mainly for law enforcement & Military use in Turkey. Their standard loads are generally hotter than range ammo, these hotter loads will print lower putting the sights right on! This is something I feel you should be informing your views of since most people don’t know this fact! If you shoot hollow points, military ball or +P, any ammo with some punch I think you will find they impact dead nuts! Enjoyed your video as with most of yours, you can always tell when you truly like a pistol you always have to load & shoot “One More Mag”!!!! 👍

I just bought a CANIK-TP9 V2 in 9MM, its suppose to be a new addition to the CANIK-TP9 line. It is a SA/DA with a decocker, this is what the pistol needed, the trigger is unbelievable in double action, in single action its gooder than great. In double action it has a long pull for safety, smoothe as silk though, 6 pound, in single action maybe 31/2 to 4 pound pull with a quick, short reset. Dem turks def got this one right. Cold hammer forged barrel, chrome lined so it will last a long, long time. It costs me less than $400. including my FFL charge.

Took delivery of my new TP9SA. I had to see what the fuss was all about. I was pleasantly surprised at how well made this gun is. I passed it around to the guys working the gun counter (they have never seen or held one) and were impressed as well-especially with the trigger. I currently carry Glock/Sig/M&P and plan to have a head to head match between all 4 guns. Regardless, for 344 bucks delivered, this will be my stash gun . Can't wait to see how it does.

One of the problems I had with my other two Canik's S120, and T120, is that the front sight was much smaller compared to rear sights. Both shot way higher at 10-15yds. They are well built firearms otherwise.

I have had my TP9 over a year and have over 2500 rounds through it. Nothing has fallen off of it and I have not had any Malfunctions in those 2500+ rounds. I have the new TP9SA in shipping from Bud's and it should arrive at the FFL in the next few days.
I got the TP9 because I couldn't find a P99 in my area and went to look at a PPQ, it was sitting next to it and I thought it was a P99 and first glance. I like my TP9 and wouldn't trade it for a Glock. I don't shoot glocks well due to the grip slant. I have been drooling over a PPQ for a long time and I'm thinking the TP9SA might fill that void in my life.

Went to the range on Thursday. Shot this along side my Apex M&P9 FS, hate to say it but... I feel as if I shot the Canik much better than the M&P9 even with the apex stuff and Truglo TFX sights (Which are a huge improvement over the TFO's IMO)
This pistol is worth picking up, the barrel is plenty accurate as well. I ran 300 rounds of wolf poly performance through it and it didn't choke at all. (This was out of the box without cleaning/oiling)
Trigger would probably be even better after running more rounds through it, doing a detail cleaning, and even some slight polishing.
Are there better options? Probably. But for about $325 it is worth every penny. I kind of want to pick up another Canik TP9SA in FDE.

I just fired my TP9 SA for the first time today. I put around 150 rounds
through it, Not one glitch with a variety of mixed ammo mags. I love
the trigger. I love the sights. It fits my hand perfectly and points
naturally I like it a great deal more than my Glock 34 Gen 4. Best
bargain I can remember at $360 OTD. It is sometimes hard to judge from
Hickok45, because his idea of a bad gun is one he can't get to shoot.
Once he gets to fire them, he adjusts, and they are all good to him.
That is why he is so much fun to watch. He enjoys himself so much that
we enjoy it too, vicariously (jealously.) It is a rare time he
criticizes a gun and it pains him to do it.

To HnRe42...you don't ever have to use the de-cocker if you don't want to, but if you do it sets the trigger into safety mode. To remedy this...you simple pull back on the slide about an eighth of and inch and it resets the striker...now you are in fire mode.if you are carrying in any type of situation would you not have the gun set in single action ready to go mode before you started off in the morning or at any other time? I will never understand why anyone has a problem with safety features on firearms...if you don't have the capacity or want to train to use them(safety features) then leave them alone and the gun will fire as does a glock, in single action mode...one very short squeeze on a 3>5 poundtrigger.(we now know a small child can do it, as demonstrated in a Walmart store...I'll take all the safety features I can get and train my body over and over to use them safely.)

Just another example of why hickok45 is the man. Only guy on TH-cam that pronounces the names of firearms correctly. I don't understand the firearms community and the inability to pronounce things the way they should be. 9 out of 10 gun guys can't pronounce ambidextrous. Its four syllables, not five. Its amazing how many ambidextrious firearms are out there. Only problem I have seen with these pistols, maybe not a problem for others but would keep me from purchasing one. When the slide is open and you insert the magazine with a little too much force, it will pick up a round and send the slide home without your permission. Like I said, some people will be ok with that, just not me.

As I noted above, this is considered a "plus" with many .45s. If you don't want a round in the chamber, why would you insert a loaded mag into the gun when the slide is back? The next step is to send the slide home anyway; under what circumstances would you keep the slide back on a fresh mag for any appreciable amount of time? (Except possibly for some administrative purpose on a range. If you're in a gun fight, you'll appreciate the slide going home by itself - one less step to get the gun back in the fight.) If you don't want a round in the chamber, don't put a fresh mag in the magwell, or just hit the slide release first. "Problem" solved.
