Between fish thefts and pass and pass the leftovers, E17 and E18 ate the fish without fights and in peace, like two good siblings. It was another lesson on how to steal a fish, eat it quietly and wait for the other to steal and eat until there is nothing left. I couldn't help myself, I watched these two on live cam for hours today. There seems to be so much love between them and even in the food fights, to me, they seem to make sure the other one gets some. Like they are not fighting that hard, or kinda allowing a steal. Maybe that's just my mother love seeing things. With E15 and E16...they fought and E16 seemed to want to get away from E15! Seems different with E's 17 and 18. When they lay in the nest together, it is extra sweet. Do you know if siblings ever find and recognize each other in the wild? I can't imagine these two really doing survival battle with each other. Mom and dad are doing their job teaching them survival technics. Staling pray is a huge part of survival for juvies. These two are learning everyday survival for life. H & M are great parents. ❤️❤️
Thanks for this and for the food report for the day. I have been wondering if food deliveries were still coming as when I watch live I am seeing mostly branching or flying, etc. It is good to see them both getting some food.
I wouldn't be too concerned bc for quite awhile now e18 mantles and eats most of what comes to the nest or at least from what I've been seeing lately. I'm sure e17 is starving and deserves to be the 1st to eat sometimes. Actually I've been thinking that might be part of what is motivating e17 to fledge and get outside of the nest.
Both! Both ate some of the same fish! Stealing it from each other! Plus, dear beloved good ol’ dad, M, brought in a hunk of mystery meat, and a second fish! Both E’s ate today! Yay!
