Such a long hooklink in such conditions is more prone to tangling, just use a short boom of about 5" on an helicopter rig and set the top bead accordingly to depth of weed etc etc..

Nice video I use a similar set up with 25lb nash skinlink only other rig I use is the old faithful blow out Rig with nash skinlink or armour link. In my opinion nash hook links are the best out there.
