The Day That The World Breaks Down - official music video, Everybody Dies - live version, The Valley of the Queens - live version - the Ayreon trifecta
In the period from 2016 until 2019 you can see the whole band was really happy. They had a new album out with Floor as lead singer so Tuomas had a new instrument as versatile as any composer could wish for. Floor was fully recovered and the kind of a singer that likes to be involved with the process of creating music. Tarja and Anette were not involved like this. They came to sing, in the studio and on the stage, but Floor usually does more. She had written songs for her former bands After Forever and Revamp. So she knows the process of composing and developing a song with the other musicians. Also, they could bring back the old songs on the setlist Anette couldn't sing. The audience loved (and still love) Floor. You say it and it is true, she is amazing with the crowd. More: Troy was officially a full member. Kai joined Nightwish, took over from Yukka and did an amazing job. They reached a new golden era. You can see the joy so clearly in their performances. This concert, the one at Wembley, at Buenos Aires. Wacken was special with the band introducing Floor Jansen, but those concerts a few years later were magical.
Check out Dutch metal band Within Temptation, for example the song "The Promise" from the Black Symphony concert. Or the official video for "Paradise" featuring Tarja, the first singer from Nightwish.
again, nice reaction :D Pretty sure you will like ' song of myself' or Amaranth from the Wacken 2013 concert and 10th man down from the 2018 Buenos Aires concert. Nightwish crowds are fantasic but the BA crowd are on another level! Enjoy and best regards from The Netherlands
Floor's parents were in Tampere watching this show, it was a special moment for all of them. This concert has many other great songs too. It's an ongoing debate wether the Tampere or Wembley version of the Greatest Show On Earth is the top one 😊
This is very old school power metal - kind of the roots of Nightwish. This is also a nice sample of "what if" they had decided to go back to Tarjas operatic style with Floor. She definetely could sing all songs like that, but Im happy they went with more variety and using Floors whole ability.
Floor is dressed as the goddess Gaia, dna strings on her dress (in the colours of the Finnish flag) and with very high heels to make her look even more like a goddess.. A very young Tuomas wrote this song and it was released as the first song on the Oceanborn album in 1998. The lyrics are showing that he was at that age already interested in the universe, earth evolution and us (gazing at the stars). And that was probably the reason it was added to the setlist of this tour: the subject fits the theme of the last 3 albums of the band. Tragedienne of heavens is the earth (as it is full of tragedies, evolution being the biggest non stop tragedy) Watching the eyes of the night (the stars) Sailing the virgin oceans (earth sailing through empty space) A Planet ride for Mother and Child (earth and moon) the star born: the planets Tuomas knows something about the history of astronomy: "Following the pages of Almagest" The Almagest is a 2nd-century Greek-language mathematical and astronomical treatise on the apparent motions of the stars and planetary paths, written by Claudius Ptolemy (c. AD 100 - c. 170). One of the most influential scientific texts in history. And watch this one: There is a version of this song with the original bass player Sami playing on stage while Marko is descending to the audience to see from below what it's like up there. Floor early pregnant with Freya, her singing (although there is less sound quality) spot on. NIGHTWISH Stargazers (feat. Sami Vänskä) Live at Himos Park 2016.
As others have said - AYREON - is something that you would probably enjoy . Ayreon is not really a " band " per se more an ensemble of some ( most ) of the best vocalists and musicians from ALL over the world in Rock & Metal who come together periodically to record ( and on very rare and special occasions due to commitments with their own bands etc to perform live ) the works of Dutchman - Arjen Lucassen ( who like Tuomas is a true musical genius ) . A great introduction to Ayreon is the music video of " The Day That The World Breaks Down " - th-cam.com/video/oFuMKdrzPqU/w-d-xo.html but there are some great live performances to be seen later ( if you enjoy it of course ) HAVE FUN ! BTW - this is only your new favourite Nightwish song until the next one 🤣
Like always - the next NW song will be your favourite 😂. Some suggestions (must sees). For Symphonic Metal No.3 of the top bands is missing. Within Temptation. Start with "Within Temptation and Metropole Orchestra - The Promise (Black Symphony HD 1080p)" Goosies guaranteed. And btw. with Sharon you will meet the next unbelievable metal angel vocalist, 10/10 like Floor, Simone etc. To blow your mind with pyro there can be only one. Rammstein "Du hast" Paris live, And still missing the top act of J-Metal > Babymetal. Take [Megitsune] Live Blu-ray/DVD「BABYMETAL LEGEND - 43 THE MOVIE. Next one you will die for to see more, more, more

Okay let's do some music math Nightwish equals symphonic metal Floor is from the Netherlands Within Temptation is a Dutch meaning from Netherlands symphonic metal band with a great female lead singer both were formed back in 1996 and I would only give Nightwish a slight slight slight Edge now for a song to do for the first one there's Faster, Iron Shot in the Dark,Let Us Burn, and we Run But to be honest since we're talking Nightwish You have to do Paradise( What About Us) featuring night wishes' first singerTarja so summary Dutch +symphonic metal +female lead singer add Tarja You get your next song
Couple of other bands in a similar vein: Epica and Ayreon. BUT beware! Ayreon is a very very deep rabbit hole that will lead you on to very many other bands. You've already listened to Epica (Sancta Terra featuring Floor). Suggest your next Epica track is Rivers featuring Apocolyptica (another Symphonic metal band from Finland except they play with cellos). To start with Ayreon watch the video "Ayreon - The Day That The World Breaks Down - The Source (2017)" on Arjen Anthony Lucassen's TH-cam channel.
Hello Lion Nightwish Army Italian Division reporting as usual. Someone in the comments suggested you the song "The Day that the world breaks down" by Ayreon and I totally agree but I recommend you the studio version with 11 different incredible lead singers and the final surprise. This song and the Ayreon project are masterpieces if you like Floor and Nightwish as I know watching your reactions. Greetings from Italy my friend. Great example of what's basically a straightforward power metal track, needlessly complicated by Tuomas. Great fan of Floor's magnificent dramatic coloratura vocals, but not in this one. The singing style clashes with the rock vibe, since the og songster only felt really comfortable with the exaggerated larynx drop and warbling wide vibrato. I understand why Floor stuck tt og style, but it wasn't really called for to begin with. Also, the "symphonic" parts and keyboard insertions hamper the flow of this track. The ending especially feels as if it's glued on after the break. Typical early NW stuff. Floor singing this in her Revamp rock voice, unnecessary Tuomas fluff discarded and Emppu given free reign instead of the repetitive patterns handed to him would've made this a good one. Brittney Slayes could have pulled off the vocals, like she did when she replaced Floor in a fine example of how to play and have fun with power metal the right way: "Ayreon - Fate Of Man (01011001 - Live Beneath The Waves)". Enjoy!
