    It seems as you showed everything except removing the camera. All of a sudden the camera appeared off the mount.

      Exactly. The whole reason I came here and he skipped that part.

    Very helpful, just wanted to see if the back of the camera disconnected from the cable before ordering a relocation kit. Thank you.

    Your video is appreciated. Just trying to figure out if there’s any way to hook up this camera to a JK. Does it have a ground, power wire and video wire in the cable?

    Literally showed everything BUT how to remove the camera. What on earth?

    this is helpful...but i'm still looking for a way to extend the camera after installing a wider wheel that blocks a lot of the reverse cam screen

    I’m just replacing the wiring harness for the brake light and camera. Is there a way to access the camera wire without having to take it all apart like you did?

    Hey man, thank you for the video. I have a 22 rubicon. Have the part coming in. Need to replace the camera, lens is broken. The one part about removing the actual camera is not in the vid. Is that pretty much self explanatory?

    There is an exposed set screw on one side of the camera housing- pry it gently toward the base of the mount and it will pop out

    Ive recently found out dealers are required to sell cars with a back up camera. Can you have them removed after purchase an install a regular cd player in the screens place?

    My favorite part is where you skip actually removing the camera mount. This POS is like glued in there! Racist camera mount.

    • @vcamp2358
      @vcamp2358 ปีที่แล้ว

      Were you able to get it out? I ordered a camera just wondering what happened before he took the entire carrier out.
      Which part was glued in there?

    • @mikethompson7406
      @mikethompson7406 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vcamp2358 I did, somehow. I think I used a screw driver to pry it apart, it comes apart very easily now, I’ve had to remove it a few more time fighting with this tire carrier removal and reinstall several times.

    • @vcamp2358
      @vcamp2358 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@mikethompson7406 that’s great. So which part was it? Was the whole assembly after the bolts and torque screws were removed?

    • @mikethompson7406
      @mikethompson7406 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@vcamp2358 That large black piece at 5:25 in the video, that is held on by 2 of the torx screws like he said. That was the thing that was stuck inside the larger plastic cover, which is what you see when it's all together on the back of the Jeep. I think I had to just pop a screw driver in there and pry it apart, then it popped and I threw the original equipment away because I didn't need it for my carrier. This is what my poor memory tells me, it was a few months ago.

      That definitely helps. Broke the lens on the camera so I was going to take the repair on myself.

    If you have to apologize for your lazy half-assed video, you shouldn't have uploaded it in the first place. You could've made a much better, shorter how-to if you put the effort into it from the start, instead of tagging it onto the end of a separate project you where doing.

    • @kyle-kelliher
      @kyle-kelliher  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      You must just love telling other people what to do.
      I’m one guy trying to make a video that people will find helpful. There wasn’t any on this subject at the time. Sure, someone with other people to help them and more time to document every detail could do better, and I invite them to do so.
      I don’t owe you anything, don’t forget that.

    • @aceforever001
      @aceforever001 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Your video is literally 5 minutes of you rambling on, followed a minute of pointing at screws and wires, then BANG, camera's out! You must be a magician! Where's the steps in-between???
      Like I said, LAZY HALF-A**ED video.
      Rather than defending your lazy how to video, how bout you upload a new worthwhile one. There's a reason you have 6k views and only 40 likes.
      I'd love to see how many dislikes you have since they don't show those numbers anymore. Bet ya it's more than 40! XD
