5:50 - The reason I would PREFER LCD OVER OLED in 2019 is because of burn-in problems with OLED TV's, when I spend $2000+ on anything, I would expect it to last at least 7-8 years, but with burn-ins a huge problem caused due to the organic part of OLED displays, you will be lucky if your display lasted for 4 years.
Anything that's organic based in nature breaks down much faster. Oled is no different when this applies. Colors and brightness degrade over short periods of time. Burns are more likely but have improved unlike the other factors I've said about oled. Longevity and not having to babysit a panel matters more to me than bragging about my black levels on a panel. To me a panel needs to last more than 10yrs in order for me to drop a couple of grand on it to justify its quality.
The major issue with OLED: it doesn't come without junk software. With LCD you can go back to a moment before bloat/ad/spyware, with OLED there is no escape.
1: Do not get a controller with Voice-Command. 2: Update, disconnect the Ethernet. 3: Get a Media-Box, it's better than any Smart-Features on TV anyway
I have a XR and my friend has a X, we compared the screens and all the difference we could really see is in the dark. You can see quite a bit of the backlight of the XR in dark rooms but with the X its bit darker (you can still the the difference between the notch and the screen though)
They aren't gonna mention the problem with burn in on OLED TV's where it's possible for images to be burned in permanently into the display. This happens on things like logo, clocks and other stationary objects on TV. Also test videos like they were playing don't represent typical TV shows and games.
Sony OLED is better Less pixel tearing due to better image processing If you like LG, dont worry! Sony buys the display from LG, they just harness the tech better than LG does!
LG is the best value OLED, i don't care about Sony's superior processing, which by the way is subjective as both companies have different pros/cons, compromises.

They obviously adjusted the picture settings on the 8k TV to make they're new product look better, even if it's running the same hardware it's not hard to make the picture dull and turn the sharpness down is it?
If you get burn in on a oled panel = "gosh you really truly are astonishingly unlucky lol" ... yeah right oleds are just dull in comparison and the screens are very reflective in the daytime ..colour contrast is nice tho :)
OLED has burnin. Using an OLED TV for a few years, I have definite burnin regions where cpations are, and the station logo is. There's also a general loss of red in the middle area, on a yellow screen the center looks really green now... (although white is still pretty white, just with greyis areas where most burnin is)

Samsung made QLED TVs, they use LCD panels with the color, quality, and blacks as OLED, so there is no burn-in.
OLEDs last more than 4 years. Burn in is only caused if the same thing is displayed on the TV for long periods. It's literally not an issue at all.

You have to display the same image for 48 hours non-stop to get the burn effect (LG).
I had to go into a room like that to provide a “sample” of my self. They didn’t TVs, just magazines.
