Have you ever considered for a second Craig that not all koi keepers are to your level? And yes that’s a compliment. Our aim is to provide for all levels of koi keeping, so if people have a few quid or a few thousand to spend they can have the koi they want. The amount of young families we have that come down for a bag of fry knowing they can grow them themselves is unreal, and seeing kids happy when parents have £20 spare is what it’s all about. As there hubby grows we get the next generation of koi keepers involved. I’d love to see and hear all about what your doing for the next generation of koi keeping, feel free to jump on a podcast and tell the world buddy
@@TheBaldingReefer ha ha. I see what you’ve tried to do there. Do not try and throw that at me. I enjoy all koi, I had two vats at a recent koi show. One vat had koi as cheap as £60 in it. Of which I won prizes and took great pride in it. It’s not about class. It is about being truthful about your product that you sell. I do not need to “tell the world” what I do. My koi friends and club know exactly what I do.
That really is good to hear, and I mean that. Maybe some more public attention to what you do would be a great idea, showing you don’t need to spend ££££ on koi to win. Those same said koi that cost you £60 how big when they were bought, some of these same fry here, at say 20/25cm could well be in the same region. Why not come down the farm, I’ll give you EVERYTHING you need to set up a holding tank, pick some tosai and show what you can do with other koi that have Japanese parents? You think I’m some big bad ogre yet you’ve never interacted with me, never bought of me, and never seen my koi in the flesh. Have I made some daft claims when I wasn’t as educated as I am now, yes. Am I learning more each and everyday yes. Maybe if we cross paths at a show, come over so I can buy you a beer. No hard feelings here, just love of koi
@@TheBaldingReefer I can’t argue with that. Thank you for the offer of a beer and the hand of friendship. I have always stayed away from your stands at shows because I do not feel it appropriate and have been asked to do so in the past. Next time, I will come over and have a chat. However, I feel it pointless. You’re a silver tongued devil that could talk the hind legs off a donkey!!! I’m sure I’ll walk away thinking I’m wrong and you’ve convinced me that black is white 😂 I hope you realise that I’m just the mouth piece 90% of people I know in the hobby/trade, also think you’re dangerous. Not just the wild claims but your QT procedures and advice you have given out. That said you seem like you’ve calmed down and are starting learning your trade. So best of luck to you. Just call a spade a spade. Every koi has at least one positive. Call the positives as it is. Not make up positives that do not exist. Thank you for the offer of the tank. Very generous. I will have to pass though, I’ve already got too many koi and not enough time but again, thank you.
I look forward to shaking your hand and having that beer mate 🍻 A lot of my older videos have been removed where I wasn’t as educated as I am now and still continue to learn, as it’s not what I want out there in the public domain, even if I have righted those older videos in newer videos. I follow advice from Paula around qt and tbh I have not shown a full qt video as everybody is different with what they do. There will always be things I can do to improve, and I welcome any advice. Look forward to meeting you buddy
Oh man, 10mm is a massive hole for fry. You'll constantly have them in your vortex - if you've got one. Honestly, you need to put something there with much smaller holes
The addition of the essence of culling here is a process and an advantage that is unique to the KOI and differentiates it from the other fish industry, but....
"Super Jumbo" 🤣 More like, the crap that the breeder would have culled if he didn't have you to offload onto
