Outstanding review!! I only liked the first 2 albums. Where The Groupies Killed The Blues was my favorite.

I agree with you on the band’s name being part of the reason they never gained traction. In an era where bands like Black Sabbath and Judas Priest existed, the name “Lucifer’s Friend” may have been a bit too on the nose for some potential listeners. They really should have just stuck with Asterix.

That was a very interesting survey. I’ve listened to most of your top-rated albums, and Banquet and Mind Exploding are my 2 favourites so far. I completely agree about the high standard of playing all round, and I was already a big fan of the brilliant John Lawton from the 3 albums he did with Uriah Heep - pound for pound, his era might just about be my favourite. In fact, if you were to do a similar ranking of the Heep catalogue, I’d be very interested to see it - they’re one of my very favourite bands😊.

I think you are a fine gentleman, and an eloquent one. Keep on ranking.

This was a really good primer for anyone looking for some good underground rock and influential metal. I had 3 of these albums in my collection for years and never listened to them (like you said - name threw me off) - one day I put the debut on and was completely blown away- these are now in rotation 😊 - on another note regarding your video- the sound of your voice is really low in spite of that big microphone right by your head ( was it working? ) also did you upload in SD or is that limitation due to your camera? Get a good HD or 4K webcam off of Amazon - your content is worth it! Look forward to more of this ❤
